I take mine to Petco for the 10$ self-serve wash every 3-4 months. You have everything you need and don't have to clean up the mess!!!
Otherwise I hose her down with a garden hose when it gets hot in the summer.

I have three shepherds. Not sure if I can call it bathing? The little canisters/jar that you use when spraying weed killer or plant food, the one you attach to your garden hose? I fill the cannister with the dog shampoo and hose them down. Hit the nozzle and now you have shampoo. Wash them and hit the nozzle and you're back on water to rinse. I'm amazed how much they LOVE water! Reiker, (8 1/2), loves a hose, sprinkler etc. but never will go in the puppy pool. Anastacia, (17 mos), I bought her a puppy pool last year and it was her favorite thing. She would race to it and jump inside and act like she was swimming, kicking out tons of water and then wanting me to fill it back up. One day it was really hot and I was going to be away longer than usually so I said "Hey, I'll put the pool in her kennel?" Mistake............... She had that pool emptied and tore that thing to shreds. This year got her another one and it was like CHRISTMAS. And she takes up half of it now. Next year I'll get them a kiddies' pool or make one so it's deeper and bigger. And then there's Arabella, (13 wks0, I put her in the pool one day and she just stood there. And as soon as I turned around she was GONE! I figured she just didn't like water then one day I hear splashing but I'm looking at Ana at my feet? I go around to the back yard and there's Bella laying in the pool, rolling over and over and barking and growling and trying to swim! She must've been watching Ana. Now they each race to the pool to get in and try and keep the other one out!
On days when I want to play with all three it's either the hose, sprinkler (but they can never leave that thing standing rightside up!) or I attach a fine stream nozzle to the hose, attach that to a tie out post and have them jump 3-4' in the air to hit the stream. So in all honesty? I don't bathe but all three are in water so so many times!

I bathe my dogs about every 3 - 5 months. When they're really dirty or even dirty, I will bathe them. If it's warm outside, I bathe mine outside, but if it's cold I bathe them inside the tub and shower.

I bathe my dog rarely, he takes care of that himself. I have a huge walk in shower with no walls so often times while I'm in there he just wanders in for a quick rinse off while biting my ankles to go play.
