Raymond,
I am a very much a Kin to those memories. The power cars,
my favorite the Barracuda with the 426 Hemi...it was a great car as long
as you did not try to make a turn. Janice Joplin still had that Texas accent
and I saw her twice in concert. She was the real deal and delivered no
matter how much she drank. I remember some one handing her a bottle
of Boone's Farm wine from the crowd between sets and she drank down
half of it before saying " this stuff doesn't have any acid in it does it?

Babyeagle4u,
Let me walk you through a memory,
You just drove an hour to a Ten Years after
concert and everybody there is in full
regalia. You get in and there are police and
security everywhere. You are saying to
yourself why the hell did I just stay at home.
You find a place to watch the concert and
the night, the people the oder is so strange.
Than without much of a word Alvin Lee takes the
stage and starts playing. He puts you into a
amazing trance, that you will never forget.
So much energy that you resonate down
to your toes......This was the Sixties and it
was Rock&Roll......

I was a sophmore in high school at Exeter, Ca. sitting in front of the auto shop when we heard president Kennedy was killed. It was almost like the world stopped. Week-ends we would either be at Famosa drag strip, at times we would go to T J for the week end.
