Sch V. PSA we are often stuck doing which is closest to where we live.  Other wise its tough to make a serious commitment for a long period of time.  Grip (full mouth) developement is often stressed more in sch.  Sch trainers who are versed in other disciplines will test sch. dogs in different environments, surfaces and locations.  This helps to evaluate the sch dog for later K9 applications.  We even do footstep tracking into the woods with the decoy placed behind a large tree, then the dog will get an escape grip or do a sit and bark. I know sch trainers that do muzzle work and hidden sleeve work with sch dogs.  Some of the other disciplines don't have tracking.  I personally enjoy tracking and the dog is using an instinct to follow scent.  For those folks within driving distance too south Jersey I just got this link and was asked to help spread the word to a Mondio trial.
