There wasn't much dog aggression displayed there, but it's tough to make a judgement on one short video of the dog. He probably lacks obedience and the methods being used if followed through will work.

I have a dog aggressive GSD it's pretty much his only flaw. If he's working other dogs don't exist, however if a off leash dog enters our land or approaches us while we are walking he will attack without giving other dogs any warning. He's ok with our other dogs, but I choose not to push and keep them seperated. I've spent a lot of time working with him and I can say that he will never be cured of his aggression it can only be managed. I worked my dog with a ball reward and fast obedience around other dogs to get things in check (along with some heavy corrections).

I'd rather tell someone the truth

Phil, I do know this was a TV clip with editing. Can't you find one thing right this guy does? For all the little people?

Truth

I didn't see any dog aggression. I saw a poorly trained dog. I saw no problem solved, only distraction. The clip was pretty much of no use to me at all. This OJ seemed ok and making some points, but too much editing and too short of a clip. Switch of collar obvious. Ceasar is such a tool.

I believe it is yours. That's okay.

Distraction IS the cure. If I have my dogs tug or ball, a bomb could go off and they wouldn't look in that direction. There is no cure for a dog that is the way it is, except being one step ahead.

If your dog would rather have a ball in his mouth then you don't have a dog aggression problem.

Phil,

I disagree, I own one of these dogs as previously stated and my dog has strong dog aggression issues. He is a very high drive dog and his desire to work supersedes any other instinct, but given the chance he will destroy any dog in his path. The dog isn't wired right when it comes to other dogs period. You're making a pretty broad brushed statement IMO. I would like to hear your theory on this.

So you're telling me that if your dog were lighting up on another male dog, you could wave a ball in his face and would quit?
