Definitely a LC sable, I have seen several, I absolutely ADORE coated sables, I think they are really striking dogs. If/when the US follows suit and starts offering shows/koers for long coats, I really hope to have a coated sable someday.
Behaviors sound typical of a protective untrained male, I bet he makes a great dog for someone!

KC they already have. My friend got her "v" rating on her long stock coat sable earlier this year. By the way, he is one of my favorite working dogs of all time. Anyone would die to have a dog with the heart, drives and grips like this one. He is truly one in a million:

Okay, I just picked this guy up yesterday, named him Jess for now...he is a real sweet dog. He does do a bark and lunge at people especially women walking by on lead, handles correction great. If you let him walk up to you he is fine. He does need to be housebroke. He likes to lift his leg on things in the house, he was neutered just before he came up to me. Came out of Utah. He is very laid back and not dog aggressive at all. He would make someone a fine companion with some training. Rides great in the vehicle and gives great doggy kisses, especially in the ear....!!!! He is really very well behaved!!!
I believe him to be only about 18 months old. His head is still way bigger than his body. No filling out yet and his teeth are still very white...anyone recognize him or know who his breeder may be or looking for a great dog???

He is so beautiful. It is amazing how striking his coloring is. He has a great look and his eyes show intelligence.
Someone is going to be really lucky to get him.

Hi Steph,
Did you contact the two kennels that I gave you info on? Gosh, he sure looks like he could've come from either one. I know someone on another board mentioned he looked like a Tervuren, but he is definitely, without question, a GSD and a gorgeous one too!
