Rather she owns dogs or not is none of your buisness .. ever think of that ? That is why they have the laws and justice, she was punished for having too many dogs and not getting help fast enough.. 10 FREAKING years ago..  Sure I didn't know about this myself until a year ago, I even live in California, but my life would have gone on without knowing.. Knowing this does not make my life better. YOU dwelling MARY MARY quite contrary on a subject that is 10 years dead is the real issue at hand. 


VM- I think I did see her post that she F*cked up and promised never to do that agian.. only reason I would put my 2c's in. 

What can everyone learn from this situation ? Don't get overloaded with dogs, don't let bitches get breed when you still have pups on the ground, and sure as F*ck don't look to people on this board for sympathy or help..

Kimmelot, I would dearly love to see that post. Please. Especially if it didn't say something like "I really fucked up trusting AR activists or the State of California" or some similar blow-off. And if it said "I will never hurt another dog again and anybody is welcome to come see my animals."

She was convicted of animal abuse, not for "having too many dogs and not getting help fast enough." People who "have too many dogs" beyond the number permitted under local zoning laws are ordered by Animal Control to reduce the number of animals on the premises within a certain time. They are NOT prosecuted for animal abuse, unless there are also signs of abuse. 

And there are no laws that state a maximum number of animals per person, either.   Please do not insult our intelligence by attempting to downplay the indisputable fact that this person is a convicted animal abuser who refuses to accept responsibility for her actions.  

Well ya know , I may have read it wrong , and really I was not printing things out and hording this as its not my problem, but I am certain she said plain as day that she got overwhelmed and it was just over the top but the time she asked for help and that is what got her into trouble and she was sorry she did not act sooner. I am pretty certain that was the story I read. To me , sure she messed up big time,  does the story need to live on - yes it does as a warning to all of us. Do we need to keep jumping her shit in a gang mauling - NO .. that is my only issue with threads like this.. there are tuns of threads where people just start slinging the shit around until everyone is covered..   Do I deserve to be called a Dummy for calling it as it is ? No .   Do I have a life - Sure do and was happily living it until Mary  squashed my "Peace for all men" post.    

Yes Donald , your right her animals where abused because there where too many to take care of properly .. Yes I agree.. 10 years ago there was an issue and she was punished. Done.. over with.. long time ago.. those animals are gone.. placed.. dead.. long time ago.

Well I don't know anything about any "peace for all men" post. I do know that it's a fact that Hoarders Hoard Until They Die. There is NO CURE. I also know FOR A FACT that this particular Hoarder IS BREEDING AGAIN. Now tell me again that she is sorry. She has no visible means of support; she has already accused the State of California of ruining her retirement (not of screwing it off herself). She is EARNING HER LIVING SELLING DOGS. Yes, I certainly can prove that. NOW WHAT? It's not illegal because she is not on parole/probation....it's just DISGUSTING. She will never change. She will always hoard and will always blame others for her own vast personal/psychological problems and her dogs' problems.

I hate to kick a dead horse, I really do. But I want ANY person to be able to run a search on this board and have her name pop up RIGHT away. Janice Bartmess is a convicted animal abuser, is currently hoarding and breeding, and is bat-shit crazy.

No, her animals were abused because she did not feed them enough to live on and she kept them in crates parked in their own shit for days on end.  It's really no more complicated than that. 

:( still sad.. still happend a long time ago.. already punished ... already released of her duties to that punishment.. she is still re-living that punishment by coming back on here .. don't know why as there are plenty of other gsd forums.

The only thing "sad" about any of that is what she did to the dogs.  

And she isn't "reliving" any punishment by hanging around here - rather, she is continually trying to justify the unjustifiable.  And so far the only one who has fallen for it is you. 

Donald , how many threads need to be made on a 10 year old issue ? Does some one want to talk about current news ? Apparently instead of falling for the trap - maybe- we need to talk about what is happening NOW and fix that.. we cant fix what was already punished and released.. we CAN fix a problem that is happening now .. Facts anyone.. not just hear say ??
