I don't own Mal, but a K9 officer asked me to research good lines from which to purchase a pup for him. I did so, and I was very impressed with www.vomrotensturm.com/index.html as they had great "depth" of pedigree, not just one or two dogs. I looked at Ivan't dogs, and Loup deSoleil (sp?) and all have find animals, but I was impressed with the vom rotensturm dogs.
Anyway, we bought a "pig in a poke" puppy, just sent our money and hoped for the best. And boy, were we not disappointed! The dog is about 3 years old now, and is a fantastic explosives detection K9 with the state police, as well as living in a family with two small children (as a house dog) when off duty. His useful drives are amazing, and his bitework is good to.
He has a few conformation faults, but IS sound, which is what counts. So, for as little as I know about this breed, if you REALLY want one (after having been around them) then I would sure recommend this place.

IMO, Mike has some of the best dogs around.
