Hans leave me alone .....yeah people can overdose them on anything ivomec is safe you may not have a problem with heartworms there but there is in the south and I can assure you the side effects of heartworms is much worse, a lot of the initial experimentation into the use of ivomec in dogs was done by the Vet school at the University of Florida as I said before leave me alone,,

My vet recomments 1 cc to 100 lbs.  So for a ten pound dog the doesage would be 1/10 of one cc.  He said that the most common problem with Ivermec is overdose.  Thank fully I have 100 pounders so I keep it at a cc or less.

yeah they have this invention a 1cc syringe! I use that to keep myself from ODing them, regardless the margin of saftey is quite high, you would have to give them ten times the amount to be at toxic levels and if ivomec is  a prescription item we better call the FDA and tell them every feed store and online pet store is sellin' the stuff by the gallon

We have used Nemex, Panacur and Ivermec......none have ever caused a problem.
Ivermec can be used safely...we use a TB syringe...dosage by Vet recommendation, and very, very little chance of overdose.
just a little info....

Lief
I am not attacking you! But thank you for your nasty personal message.
Lief had written in PM to me:
leave me alone hans you have succeded in gaining my enenimity I have been to your house I have seen how you live so don;t come on here trying to start shit with me
Yes many years ago I used to live in a rough place and  more then once and have been poor.  Thank you very much! I have even slept in in the woods 45*F minus for good part of the winter in Wyoming.  So what?  I guess you must be living in a nice cozy place. Well : Good for you! You know I came to USA with $25 and no knowledge of English. However now I live on in nice new house with swimming pool on nice 5 acres. Your threats in PM are cowardly especially after you refused/blocked  my answer,  where I was going to clear the air between us and  apologize to you (Imagine that!)
if I have hurt your feelings.
 ALSO:
I have had absolutely no intention to insult you at all. I was just saying that statement like :even at a dose of 1/10 per ten lbs
which you have made is not proper for forum like this  because it does not say 1/10 of what.  Like 1/10 of a milligram or a gram or a milliliter, centiliter, kg, ton, .....??? What?!   People may misinterpret your statement   and kill their dogs.
Yes Ivermectin is safe if used properly. THAT IS WHY  FOR DOGS IT IS DISPERSED ONLY BY PRESCRIPTION BY LICENSED VETERINARIAN. Yes you can buy it for horses and cows and so on and give it at risk of overdosing to your dog because these product  are not often mixed consistently (paste)enough to be used for smaller animals. And I am sorry but there is a lot of people who have no adequate knowledge how to properly calculate proper dosing.
Again I was just trying to tell you to be careful what you are saying here.  And for that I have earned your hatred. So be it.
Everything which I have stated in my former post is a fact. And was not aiming to insult you....  trying to start shit with you as you are saying. Sorry if I have given you this impression.
