DDR-DSH

The way the laws are getting now, the public is able to shake down business people, even on the private party level. I saw this possibility some twenty -thirty years ago with the advent of corporate shakedowns. I figured it was a matter of time until it filtered down to the smallest common denominators in business transactions.. mom and pop businesses and private parties. Sure enough, another one of my visions and epiphanies has come to pass... This trend is destroying this country, by the way. The courts are supposed to be impartial, but are increasingly judges and prosecutors are influenced by special interests and their lobbyists.. corruption and undue influence.

Have you ever heard of the "Baker's dozen"? That was something real that happened in England, maybe four hundred years ago. A law was made against bakers to prevent them from shorting their customers on baked goods.. under penalty of death!!!! So, to be safe, the baker's started putting in an extra scone or whatever.. 13 in total. That way, if they accidentally shorted the customer, they still got the dozen they paid for.

We are really losing our equal rights protections in the courts and it's becoming a lot more like England of four hundred years past, complete with forfeiture of property and escheat. We are losing our rights to property and equal protection under the law, especially if we conduct business with the public.

Ok, now I have found that Mike has nothing to do with this guy, thanks to a phone call to him from a friend that knows Mike personally. At this point I'm concerned about the dog in question and that she is ok. Thank you all for the comments that I have recieved and plan on pushing this a bit farther for the dogs well being.

This guy that I'm referring to as a client has some real issues and this isn't the way they are addressed when there is a problem. Now I found out that this man is planning on doing some breeding of his own although I don't know the name of his kennel, but will find out here shortly as I'm waiting on a call from  Mike. And to think you know people when dealing with them really has taught me more than a lesson on how to read a person a bit closer.

We will continue  to loose our rights as long as we continue to elect the liberal idiots we have in office now. As the Racist in Chief Obama stated we are no longer a Christian Nation. Our taxes are out the door and our laws no longer protect us. On the other hand there are some people who cry foul when they are guilty and have been found guilty. The person who started this thread has every right to take the threats made by the individual against her and ge a restraing order. She has done nothing wrong and should be protected by the courts.

Well after talking with Mike I found out this guy is a breeder and wanted Mike to refer clients to him. Although Mike told me that he doesn't do those kind of things when he hasn't seen the dogs first.

Here is the idiots website which i have not been able to find our Abby on there. There is a 6 yr old on there named Abby but she is not the dog in Question

DDR-DSH, you mention "the hypothetical overpopulation problem".  I propose we call it an over-production problem instead, since euthanasia is greatly responsible for keeping overpopulation in check.

The AKC registers over 1,000 GSD litters a month, which probably averages nearly a 100,000 GSD's annualy, not even counting the ones imported.  That's only the registered litters.  And that's only one single breed among several popular ones.  For example, labrador retriever litters registered are even double that!

If there were about 2 GOOD litters a month, I sure wouldn't complain!

WOW the web site gave me a headache!!!

I was surprised to see Andy and Melanie on there as there is not a dog with them in the pedigree.

I don't know about anyone else but I did not expect to see the Angels, God and ectt on this site after reading his email. Talk about surprised

I thought that picture was familiar. Hmm, He is a slime ball that thinks by shooting emails like he did would scare me. All it did was piss me off and then I had to research him a bit more and found out what he said in his email was a crock of s**t. I can't wait to hear what he tells Mike when he contacts Mitch in the next couple of days.

Daryl, I was the only breeder speaking FOR a breeder license proposed by Senator Rosenthal back in 1997. Believe me, I know that it COULD be beneficial to dogs AND to breeders. But, I since found out (the hard way) how devious and really evil the people on the side of regulation can be, and how easily the process can be corrupted. That is not the solution. I don't know WHAT is, but I believe Ronald Reagan was right, when he said, "Government is not the solution.. It is the problem".

The pet overpopulation problem is real, but it is nowhere near the level it was back in the 70's, 80's and onward to a lesser degree, as it has steadily decreased since then. Especially purebred dogs.. the level of overpopulation has strongly decreased. I used to go into the 'pounds to look at them, and it broke my heart. But, apparently some hearts are much more callous.. That would be some of the animal control people who love to raid breeders and steal their dogs, only to throw them into these canine gulags, where many of them sicken and die in short order. It's all a day's work to some people, believe me... They pretend to care, but they do not. And, THIS is the solution, to attack breeders and torment and kill their dogs.. Good sport for sick, malicious people, but not exactly FAIR sport when the target is a frail old woman like Emma Harter and the object is to run up a huge boarding bill on her and steal her home and life savings.

Go and watch a Discovery Channel show about the sea tortoises.. See that a thousand of hatch and struggle to live, and only one makes it to come back and lay eggs, years later.. This is the reality of life. You and I may squirm and cry, because we are human and we are made to feel these sympathies.. But, we cannot change the basic plan. The reason that so many puppies are born in a litter is simply to compensate for natural losses in the wolf ancestor. Even in our contrived and manufactured societies, it is impossible to afford each and every dog a great home for life. We can try, and we can make a big difference for the better, but be careful not to empower evil people to do worse, because they may and they will. Some people don't give a shit and there's nothing you can do to change that, either. Try to create a Utopian society by any means, and you will fail and end up with a totalitarian nightmare.

I personally do not care to breed dogs to sell to the public, anymore, but there are not always so many choices, realistically. The only alternative may be not to breed, at all.. And, that is simply not an option, unless you consider a sterile rock in space as an ethically superior and better place than Earth, with all it's wonders and miracles.. tragedy notwithstanding..
