My male is almost 3 and still doesn't lift leg. He will just stretch himself out and pee standing. Does he mark... yes sometimes. He is such a knucklehead he just doen't care. I do think that somewhere it has to be a learned behaviour, but maybe not. I have him pass by every tree at training that I know a dog has been too... he sniffs, maybe licks then moves on, on occasion he will mark next too... just never lifted leg. Ohwell maybe he is starting a new trend... He's cool like that!!!

when I got my first male puppy, the hubby kept saying he was a wussy boy because he didn't lift his leg,,I told the hubby that HE had to show him and to take him outside and do so:)) The dummy thought I was serious:))
