come on folks doesn't anyone recognize the famous  "CRANK & JANK". for a mear $100/hour she'll teach your dog obedience.

Sad she is considered one of the top breeders. Ask Danny S. why he added one of her members to the WDA board? Not only one that is a long time team member but also one that she has her dogs listed under so she could show her dogs at NASS.

Guess Danny has strange bedfellows

but I understand that she along with the owners of the kennel that came in 2nd at the NASS are members not in good standing with the WDA. Guess WDA sent out email to Club Contacts saying these people weren't members in good standing, and under new WDA rules both owner and co-owners have to be in good standing. so they can't show dogs owned or co-owned.
SO lets see now owners of 2nd and 3rd place Kennels at 2009 NASS are all members not in good standing with WDA curious why.

Think they may also be trying to make this club a USA club, who would figure
lets say someone has a certain Judge and a National breed warden in their pocket

I watched part of the video, turned me seriously off.

I'm not an expert trainer, by any means.  But what I do know from what I've experienced is that you don't keep the lead tight, you don't keep repeating the command over and over and over again in a litany, you don't constantly jerk, knee, and shove, and you don't praise with a hard pat (slap) to the side.  The poor dog flinched ever time she delivered one of these "Good boy!" slaps to his left side...I'd bite her, I think.  If the lead must be tight, then someone hasn't done enough work teaching the dog to focus on the handler...

There is absolutely no focus...The dog keeps looking at the person holding the camera, instead of his handler, like he's begging for this to be over.  I counted many, many corrections on the heeling, many corrections on the sit, and the correction to the bitch for not doing the platz promptly seemed excessive, especially considering that they were using prong collars.  I'd think the corrections should not need to be nearly that hard with a prong, though I've never used one.  I didn't even correct that hard with a standard choke or strap collar.  If the dog was lunging around, totally out of control, I could see really firm corrections, but the dog seemed fearful to me, like he was afraid he'd be hurt at any time.  He knew what she wanted, but he wasn't sure of himself at all.

If she took that dog off leash, I think she wouldn't be able to get him to heel, come, or do anything else.  My girl may not have formal obedience, but when I say "Oakley, Come!" she comes right to me.  Of course, I've never treated her in such a manner...That could be it, too.

I can understand snappy obedience being part of an award or title winning performance, but it seems to me that you work on getting it right first, with encouragement, then you work on speed.  There's no spark or flash in that performance at all...Makes me ill.  I don't believe in all rewards...I use compulsion if the occasion warrants it, but I believe that the strength of a command is in the tone you use to give it, not in giving a hard jerk to enforce it.

I'd never let either of them near my dog, even if my dog was a biter.  NO WAY.

LAVK-9,  My horse is reining cow horse bred. She is off  a nice NU Cash and Gay Bar King father, Mother is one
of the last really good  Mr San Peppy mares from king ranch. She is like my daughter. I bought her Mother
when she was still in foal with her. The night she was born, the coyotes were trying to get to her and her
mother was fighting them off. This happened at about 2:00 in the morning. I had to drive out to were
they were !/4 mile away, but I heard Pepper the mother from my camp. I was  half a sleep. I saw the coyotes first and  a big cloud of dust.
There was momma kicking for all she was worth. Kicking ass and taken names. There right along side of her
was this little stick legged new born staying right next to her momma. Thats how my baby girl came into this world.
She is my blessing. My next door neighbor kept telling me, my horse was  not pregnant, she would say if she is pregnant than I am pregnant.  She was kind off mean and hateful old women about 70 years old. Thats why I didnt keep Pepper closer to me, I didnt even think she was in foal. You see the old lady was a horse expert. I thank the Lord she was wrong.

I watched it last night... Disgusting. All that yanking and jerking made me sick, along with repeating the command 47 times.. . And the poor dog was pretty weary of the "petting" and side slaps for sure.
I can't believe they broadcasted that. This is how not to train....

Apparently they ran and hid!!!!!!!!!  I thought about the horror I had witnessed last night before I started my ritual snoring fest and remembered what I had seen.  Now that the tapes have been destroyed by Rudygate, we will never know.  I do know that the dog's name was Ike von der Neuen Welt (call name Rudy) and the female was Rachel vom Mittelwest.  Let's follow along and see how their SchH careers progress.

What I remember is seeing poor little Rudy being kneed in the puss right at the beginning of the session and as he got closer to the camera angle, kneed again frequently each time he passed by the camera which was positioned on the "handler's" right.  I came to the conclusion that the camera operator was the owner of the dog and Julie was "acting" as the all powerful "hunde fuhrer" and sorrowful Rudy and was getting clobbered each time he was looking for sanctuary.  Marvelous, pound the obedience into his little noggin' till he completely shuts down.  Run Away, Run Away poor Rudy while you still can.  They can hide you but we will never give up.  WE WILL FIND YOU.
