Can we get the opinions of those living in Canada how they like their health care system? Or how about the folks in Europe?
I am self employed, my husband and I are in good health, in fact my husband hasn't even used his health insurance but a couple times in 5 yrs....we pay out the friggin ass every month for our group plan and every year they raise it another $100-150 a month per person. I'm at their mercy all because I had a surgery 7 friggin years ago (never had any complications) but I'm considered "pre existing condition" so either way I get screwed.
I'm not for the government health care even though I pay more for my health insurance a month than I do on a car payment....I don't want someone dictating to me if or when I am allowed to goto the doctor or IF I am "sick enough" to go but I am also a little sick and tired of the insurance companies taking advantage of us. Health insurance is NOT a luxury it is a NECESSITY!
If the government could just step in and stop the insurance companies from calling all the shots we could all have AFFORDABLE coverage. In a thriving economy maybe I'd be doing less bitchin' but with so many people out of work this just makes me SICK!

How a bout just moving to Europe or Canada or or or ? America isn't great because we do like them. America is great because we are America. You don't like your State Constitution or US Constitution, Bill of Rights or Declaration of Independence ... feel free to leave.
