They have a HR proposal that allows the ASPCA to demand the banker of a coming home foreclosure to notify the ASPCA of animals in the home and if the home is foreclosed they can confiscate your animals due to your lack of funds and responsibility.
Have you ANY IDEA how many homeowners just leave their pets behind to STARVE?? Some don't even turn them lose, they leave them LOCKED UP IN THE EMPTY HOUSE!!
I suppose THAT'S preferrable to the ASPCA coming and confiscating the animals??
Sheesh!
(No, I have no use for PETA, but I fully understand the reason for the proposed legislation, and I KNOW people who have rescued dogs that were left behind to starve by irresponsible, heartless former homeowners!)

Oli,
this new page system sucks.
Faster is not always better.
There is beauty in simplicity.
Anyway,
blah blah blah, more PETA and some video.
Gonna eat me a veggan burger fer dinner and skin a coon.
I'm so confused by this new format.

The Huffington Post is equally as apolitical. Don't know if you can talk about shepherds, though.
Chicken for lunch, tacos for dinner. Already tasting that sausage roll that I'm saving for breakfast. I love animals!
What ever happened to DR?

The new format is definitely going to take some getting used to, Oli. It should load the pages faster, though, especially the ones that are picture-intensive, but the only thing that's really slowing my high speed down are the ads. I understand why they are here, but they do slow things down a lot!
Come on, folks, don't pick on the OP about his or her choice to be vegan, or vegetarian. I have known several people who chose to live a life free of meat, and while they didn't appear to be all that healthy,(pale, thin, and hair all dry looking), if they are happy living that lifestyle, then let them. Humans have killed animals for food since the beginning, and that's not going to change for me anytime soon. We can't seem to get enough protein from the consumption of non-animal protein sources.
In fact, some studies have shown that some forms to soy are toxic to the human system, which to me would make it not a good source of protein. Single stomachs just don't seem to be able to process it all that well, despite all the "evidence" that is presented by the soy companies to the contrary. There are other sources of protein, too, which include beans, but even they don't really provide enough.
I don't know, I guess it depends on the individual trying to survive the meatless diet. Some can live on it...I wouldn't want to. Humans just aren't all that healthy when we don't eat the things we are meant to eat. From what I understand, vegans are the extremist form of vegetarians...
From what I understand, vegans don't kill plants to eat..They eat only what is already dead or dying in the plant world..
OP? Would you enlighten me on this one?\
