ShelleyR

by ShelleyR on 30 December 2009 - 00:12

If I was a man who gets nearly $40. hr. when he isn't hiding behind a note from his FAMILY Dr. (read: GP), I would be ashamed of myself and wouldn't want anyone to know about the above document...

Shelley Strohl... Shelley Roecker... Shelley Roecker Strohl... Does it really matter at my age?
My freedom is worth, and has cost many times as much as $55. /mo., for years.
Anybody know how long a union carpenter can keep their union benefits and health plans without reporting for work?
Hmmmmmm.

Yep I am a retired union carpenter! He only needs to have a certain amount of hours contributed into his health and welfare fund each quater! to stay current and avoid a break in his insurance coverage he would have to work approx. 3 weeks out of every month! And that is 3 weeks a month consistently unless he is a business agent or works at the hall! Shoot I am amazed if he is even working now1 I took early retirement cause no work in chicago area! and if a carpenter does not earn enough hours in cont. the coverage runs out in 3-6 months! If he is not working steady20 to 30 hours a week he will loose it. If you are on his plan get all you can right away! And get your share of that pension!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

If it makes you feel any better, Shelley, I gave my ex a pile of money, the house -- and paid a big mortgage on that house for three years -- all the while I had custody of my kid.

Of course, your hubby should be ASHAMED of himself.

And everyone should know: the dog in my avatar is none other than Datscha v Frauengarten (V Carol Arolser Holz, Sch3, FH2 x V Gabi Arolser Holz Sch1).

A product of Shelley's genius.
He's also HIT.  He is also the most stable, even-tempered dog I have ever known: he absolutely refuses to be drawn into dog quarrels, even with obstreperous dogs intent on a fight (and on whom he could lay a great deal of hurt).  He is safe with dogs ranging from mastiffs to lhasas. He finds it all -- interesting. I think he's great; he suits my very flexible life very well (I want to take him everywhere and never worry -- and he suits the bill).

And his recall is lightening fast for a big male, too. ;-)  If my cancer had not gotten in the way, he'd be farther along in his titles by now. :-(

I'm really sorry to hear about your cancer MVF.   The word terrifies me, probably  because the treatments are as bad as the disease.    You sound like you either have it beat or are giving it a good battle.

Prayers and well wishes are being sent your way.

Well, in my situation, my soon to be ex wanted the dog.  However, I wasn't going to let him go.  My ex had a drinking problem then it would turn into an abuse problem.  We argued over the dog, I poured him a double, he got drunk, angry, took a swing at me, the dog bit him and put him in the hospital with stitches.  He was then ordered to stay away from the dog which I got custody over.  I threatened him with domestic violence if he pursued it against my boy.  Soooo, there is a happy ending if you play into their weekness.

Don't feel too bad Shelley, I was ordered to pay Child Support for a child 70% in my custody. He makes 5x's what I bring home now, but it's all tax free and doesn't count as income. The state wanted me to pay about $160 a month but he agreed to $50. I still feel rippped off because he never sent her or I a fuck you card, in the 5-6 yrs we were seperated before the divorce was final! Plus the bastard was getting paid all that time, for having a dependant and for being married, by the miltary.

As far as the dogs go... I have NEVER had anothers name on my dogs or horses registration papers. I'm the SOLE owner and I'd go down shooting if anyone tried to say otherwise.

Mikey blast from the past...

Whose past?  Not mine..I don't know a Mikey.

Just curious, you just joined, and posted this oddball post on this thread about divorce.  Curiousity got the better of me and I had to ask.
