Right now, Its snowing in Houston, just starting to stick on the trees and grass, soon the streets will ice over. Schools are closing and sending the kids home. Time to prepare for large scale bumper cars. Just gotta love it!

Still raining here been going on now for more than 3 weeks and forecast right into the middle of next week
The Lawn or mud patch cannot take any more and its laying on top
Izzy looks as if she has been pulled backwards through a hedge, She was Plastered with wet and Mud and so was i this morning trying to clean her off and she would not keep still, I told my brother to empty a bucket of water over the two of us to wash us down
I cannot wait for the rain to stop and dry up a bit and i will even welcome the cold weather which we normally have some time ago last month but it still has not come yet

Two Moons

Sandhill Cranes flew over yesterday, they migrate through here twice a year.
They are a few weeks late but for me winter is right behind them.

I don't always get pictures, this is from another time,

The sound of their calls is unique and always pleasing to my ears.
They know whats coming.

I saw where the south had snow,
I use a milk jug and some hot water on the bottoms of my metal water bowls and leave the ice for the dogs to chew on.
Works well and I don't bend up the bowls.
They seem to really like crunching on the ice sometimes.

WTH is this ice stuff you guys keep talking about? I just gave my dog a bath outside the other day. No rain here yet. We are dry as a bone. Just checked todays temps. 60 high and 29 (they say near record lows) for tonight. Still I bet the buckets don't freeze harder than what the dogs can break with their noses. Suppossed to rain Monday with a low of 25. I don't believe a word of it. The weather is NEVER right. They just like trying to freak us out. My neighbor is out covering all of her plants outside. LOL Next week it will be warm again.
