Thank you dogsthatwork for getting the point of my question.  I do love all working breeds but don't know that counting members of a non breed specific club is the correct way to determine WUSV votes.  UScA membership is required to belong to a local UScA club regardless of your breed.  I am not aware of any other documentation of what breed you have aside from your scorebook.  It's been a long time since I joined so I could have just forgotten?  Just to play devil's advocate... of the 5 votes Kim reported 1 is given to all WUSV members and 1 vote is given per thousand members which means UScA must have 4000 members.  What if 1000 members own mixes, or someother working breed should UScA be getting that additional vote?  Perhaps UScA provides the WUSV with documentation of GSD owning members that I am unaware of?

Is this thread serious?

C'mon now...OK let's say you are all right and USA's big master conspiracy plan was to get 1more vote in the WUSV... 1 more vote in the hundreds with the rest of the world...what do you all think is the next step?

With that 1 extra vote are they going to take over the world muuhahahah....Please!

That is not quite the math, because for every 1000 a club would gain, the other would lose 1000 unless all of a sudden 1000 people came out of nowhere with GSD's that belong currently to no club - the effect would be even at 6 & 6 or with another 200 gone from GSDCA it could well make the vote 6 & 5.  That suddenly places USA on equal footing or possible 1 more vote and can change the makeup of the executive board which is made up of the three largest organziations ergo the most votes per club which currently is the SV, GSDCA and Austria.

Kim,
Does that consider the collective number of members in WDA and GSDCA?  Some are members of one and not the other, some of course, are both.  WDA does not have WUSV membership on its own, does it?

Avorow,

WDA is not a seperate member of the WUSV.  It functions under the agreement with GSDCA.

Like USA has many members of non-GSD breeds included in its tally, there is nothing specific how it is counted in the WUSV by-laws - it just says the membership is mad up of assoiations and clubs.  The number turned in correlates to a per head fee which is that club's annual membership dues in WUSV.  So smaller clubs pay less and larger clubs pay more.
