JRANSOM

Franquie,

You didn't let him down... you lifted him!  He had you!    He had YOU in last dealings with this place that he had no clue about.  And YOU made it a better place for him!  I do have tears as I write this because some are so heartless that they can't feel the pain that THEY inflict on another...be it human, dog, cat or rodent!  Thank you Franquie for taking that pup and letting it know love before he left.

Franquie,
I saw this post yesterday and was pulling and praying for the poor dear. I am so sorry that he had to be pts. I'm so sorry for your loss. Bless you for trying your best and giving him a chance. It loks like you made his last day a wonderful day, with food and LOVE.

Franquie:

You gave him more in 24 hours then his owners did thru out, you should be blessed. Thank you for helping.

Franquie,
Ditto on all the statements above.
Martina told me about this yesterday.
Bless you for helping little Monster!
At least he finally knew what it was to be loved, and, in more ways than one.
I guarantee he is waiting for you at the Rainbow Bridge!
When you get there he is the one who will be helping you!

Thank you for making the little guys last hours a secure and loving time. Thank goodness he had you instead of wandering alone and hungry. Thank you for easing his pain. There is a special room in hell awaiting his "owners", but lots of licks and happy barks awaiting you.

Thank you everyone for all your kind words. I appreciate them dearly.

I found out exactly what the deformity was. He had a huge open fontella (that's what that big lump on his skull was), as well as water on the brain. They think he was about 3 months old, and say they are surprised he lived as long as he did. They also said he was probably in quite a bit of pain.

Very, very sad.

People like his previous owners should not be allowed to own dogs.

Aww, Franquie, I'm so sorry.

It sure sounds as though euth. was the correct decision for this poor little guy, but look at it this way.  His last day was spent LOVED and CARED FOR.  How great is that?  From what he had, looks like he would've died a lonely death, and you saw that he knew love and care.  He had food and shelter and affection.  You even gave him a little toy.  I could just cry.

You did a wonderful thing.
