Two Moons

by Two Moons on 20 May 2009 - 05:05

My personal guess?
Yes....
Why would you feel toasted, for what?

by jayne241 on 20 May 2009 - 05:05

Ok Moons, I'll bite: a shepadoodle!  You traitor!

Continuing along those lines:

Ligers are different from tigons, in that a liger is a cross between a male lion and a female tiger, and a tigon is a cross between a male tiger and a female lion.  They are actually different, something about the growth inhibitor gene is carried by one gender in tigers (male tiger?) and the other gender in lions (female lion?).  So a liger doesn't have that gene, and so it grows bigger than either lions or tigers.

Sooooo...... is there a difference between a shepadoodle and a poodaherd?

There are two forums to post to and no one is posting any earth shattering revelations about the German Shepherd breed?

Well Moons, have at it.  Start us off and surprise me.  Some thing other than SSDD, please.

Moons - I am a regular in political forums - I can hold my own and actually enjoy swearing and have no problem ridiculing those less forunate than me in terms of brain power, if you'll forgive my narcissism, LOL!

BUT - I also understand that many people would like to talk about their shepadoodle or their corgi, or their maltese, and would come to this forum and think that they'd be laughed away or ridiculed if they had a dog that didn't have biting a human arm as a major goal - or that it made themthink having a "pet quality" animal was a bad thing.  A place where posting a picture of your dog could result in descriptions of "ugly" or "get it spayed"  - geezuz f -ing christ - the elitist mentality of many of the gsd lovers leaves a cold cold closed door to other dog and puppy owners.

That's what I mean by roasted, toasted and spit out.

it's also why I thought the "general" board and GSD board being separate would be a good idea.

Don't step in the poohastuff.

I dunno slamdunc, Midnites due this weekend, my other bitch is gonna come in heat probably at the worst possible time.
My male is still in need of a lot of training and I'm going to be keeping a pup from this litter..   I got my hands full and I'm kinda taking things one day at a time here.
I'll think of something.

Luvdemdogs,
I understand your remark...   I know what you mean.
But someones gotta start somewhere..
I don't have any other breed at the moment but there are other dogs I'm fond of and have owned other breeds.
I think the ones who would bash, would bash anything given the right mood that day..  They don't mean a thing in the grand scheme of things.
Not really.
You can't change people even when they are wrong.
I say post whatever you like breed of your choice.

Thanks Jim,
One thing I had to decide was if I was going to keep using frontline on her while nursing, I decided not too.
I am going to keep her on the interceptor tho.
I worry about toxins in the system with puppies.
There will be photos..
Moons.

Luvemdogs, I'm surprised at you.  I can't remember your words exactly but when you first joined, you were one of the ones that said you wanted OT's!  to keep this board alive.  Sounds very hypocritical to me.  LOOK at the other dog boards and see how busy they are!

There is more to our lives than our dogs, unless you are a recluse.  I am disappointed at the 'all knowledgeable' ones.  They seem to be very childish.  To not post on a board, because there are other discussions going on that affect us all AND our dogs seems really pouty and immature.

Tell me why we still can't learn and share thoughts and ideas about training and other dog issues?!

Obviously there is a reason some only spend time with their dogs and don't interact with other humans.

This is Oli's board, he certainly can put a stop to it if he wishes.  For everyone that leaves, that many more will come.  Such is life.   Your loss.

Oh Brother! It's ALIVE!!! And constantly morphing. Get a grip folks. Only the strong survive.

AND:

I think it just plain old fashioned politeness to keep the GSD forum side spanky clean for the purists. If all those who complain about the quality of the postings in the General area would just go right now and post your most profound example of what you would like to see, by golly you could change things.

Have a lovely day, all you lovely dog people!
