she did a long doggie poopoo dance and managed to expel about a cup of poop the consistency of play dough. She still isn't acting like her good ole self. and is wanting to lick her bumm a lot. She isn't interested in playing with the pup and usually they are at it constantly.
she has had only liquids today and is finally showing hunger....
I'm waiting for the followup apt. at 4:15 this afternoon - sooner if her condition changes.........

Just found a half digested paper towel and some sticks that formed a wad in a poop.........could be the issue has passed.
I'm still going to the vet for the follow up just in case. On the way home, I'll stop by and get a kitchen trash can that is more difficult for dogs to get into.....
I just LOVE the spell checker!

Hope that's what it was and she'll be back in proper order! Amazing what they can get into. Kiss that precious little face for me!

I had a labrador once that ate anything. A real garbage hound. Literally. How and where he found all this crap to eat was beyond me. It had to be somebody's trash he was getting into but it wasn't mine. I found plastic bags, paper, tinfoil, rubber, almost everything except the kitchen sink in that dog's poop. It really should have killed him but nothing ever bothered him. Lucky I guess.
Update please when you can. I've got my fingers crossed everything is OK.

If she's hungry that's good sign. My poor girl would act hungry, but only mouth the food & drop it, then even stopped drinking, that's when we made our 'we're coming in now & she will be seen immediately' return to the vet....next stop was veterinary surgeon. Thank God we caught it in time. Now 7 months later, she's smaller than the other pup her age, (same litter) & still a very picky eater, (she wasn't before the surgery) only eats very small volumes at a time. Her bowel was plicated after the intersusseption was corrected, though....I think it changed her system permanently. She did not have a blockage at all....but she'll still try to eat any stupid thing she can steal, that hasn't changed! Hope your girl is feeling better, I'll say a prayer that paper towel was the issue! Good luck! Let us know? jackie harris

just got back from the vet's office, got a clean bill of health.
her gut feels, sounds and looks good. she has no extra gas any more. no large amounts of food waiting to get through.
the paper towel and sticks must have been daming up the works.
he said to keep her on liquids until tomorrow afternoon and start her back on her regular food........
Sita wanted to jump and play with the rest of the pack upon returning.......she's acting like herself again.
BTW - he just loved termprment, and obedience........asked about if I was intending to breed her, his GSD died of old age a few months ago and is looking into getting another..............I have no plans on breeding at this point.

very good news.we lost our dog on 4-19 because of this.he died at the vet during surgery.it is amazing the courage of these dogs.he showed no signs of pain until it was too late.i found a stash of raw chicken he had been hiding every day for about 4 or 5 days.unfortunately he was too tough to show me signs until it was too late.again i am so happy for you and her.
