WOW , totally amazing how some of Xfactors posts are conveniently removed , with others then slotted in different places. Takes the whole thing out of context to make others look bad, good going. Lets see now.......

Ladies!!! If we are not careful this post will become a slanging match and end up putting people off the show, It will be sad if committees end up useing London baristers as a proof reader before anything is produced for a schedule for a show. I think the committee have come up with some good Ideas for the show! Fun class, or Glamour class, Longest coat! or whatever, Let the judge decide on the day. Let's not use a sledge hammer to crack a nut!! Careful Kerry!!! I know what you're thinking. I'm sure the committee will have it right on the day, and make it a great day for everyone. Phil can you put on a Hamster class as well!! Sue!! my hamster is better than you'res!! regards, Bill Owen.

Sue
The way I took it, the classes will be judged on construction, or I think it would have stated cutest smile, saddest eyes etc
And as these classes are not run under KC rules it will be up to the judge on the day.
As I said earlier get behind the committee, to make it a show to remember one of - OUR BEST..

To all. I am sorry it seems I have caused some disruption here which was not my intention . As I said I am only a novice having had German Shepherds all my life and would like to think I would have been able to increase my knowledge and maybe breed a litter at some point in the future but with the improvement of the German Shepherd as my main concern which is why I looked up to the German Shepherd League in the first place so I don't feel that my surprise of there being a long coat class at their show to be unreasonable.
It is obvious to me now that most of you are promoting the long coat so if this is the case then why don't the kennel club have long coats as they do in other breeds ?.
If the long coat class is only for fun then why stop there why not have classes for all the other non standard dogs like the whites and all the other funny colours ?. There may well be stunning long coats but I have found the coat to hide loads of faults. some of the ones that flit in and out of the club I go to have got awful pedigrees with health problems so all I was meaning was that for an orgnisation such as the League to have classes for these dogs then surely it would be giving the green light for the less scrupulous breeders who do not care about the bloodlines.
I am only trying to do right by the breed by learning about the standard but now I am rather disappointed.
If something different was wanted to generate entries and interest I would have thought fun classes like agility and maybe small easy obstacle courses for kids and their dogs to have fun and to gain further interest from them.

Kerry I wondered how long it would take for you to get PERSONAL. Havent you ruined a brilliant League Show with your antics already this year without starting another and didnt you insult the crufts judge in your BC column then take your bat and ball home when someone had a go back at you? Double standards springs to mind. lol
As for you Bill, I stopped playing the my brothers bigger than yours game at Infants school. lol
Best Six legs Missbeeb, great idea, perhaps we might get a sky blue pink with yellow dots as a none standard colour entrant, afterall the BC has been asking the KC for years to stick to registering ONLY standard colours, but then why should the League be bothered about that? Next they will introduce a class for the most unsound dog or has that been done already?
Regards
Sue
