Mark forgot to mention the workers to help us...so we dont have to feed and maybe could sit on the coach or lay in bed fo rmore than 30 minute intervals!

And Dogshome that looks amazing! Good luck looks like fun!

I just wish I had my place in Northern CA's Sacramento Valley back. It was only 1.10 acres with a pole barn converted from use for horses to dogs, but it really worked well, even had a small training field and a show ring out back. What I wouldn't give to have that place back.
sighhhh

Aw- Shelley, California sounds really good right now! jh

california is really nice right now - about 80 with blue skies....maybe get rain later this week.
i'd like a western style cabin on a lake with acres and acres and acres.....easy clean stained concrete floors, single story (bad knees getting badder), lots of wood, stone, fossils, leather and if i could really have a dream set-up - i would really like to have a few texas longhorn cattle. i don't think it'll happen, but, it's a dream... of course plenty of room for the dogs with a "mudroom" to groom and clean 'em up (me too), a couple of fireplaces and, since it's a single story, a wine room (no cellar, plus, cellars are scary) and a jacuzzi. and, the money to go to mexico if it gets too cold....

Sounds nice, Angusmom. I miss being out west. I miss the deep blue skies & the ever present sage scent in the air. We lived out side Las Vegas in high desert. *sigh* 4 hours to any where from there! jh

yeah, the clincher for us, wherever we move once the boy has graduated high school, is that my husband can get to mexico to fish EASILY. no 4-5 hours driving to an airport to get to another airport to get to mexico - it's gotta be a few hours from our house to the condo and the sound of the ocean and cold cold beers! me, altho i like mexico alot, i'm happiest fishing in a mountain lake with cold beer, a book and my dogs. that's paradise for me. and a bloody steak for dinner!

Hey angusmom,

That sounds like heaven especially the jacuzzi and the wine room, my OH loves fishing too, maybe he will just have to stock the dam with some perch. Nah he likes bigger fish than that.

We live in NSW, Australia, we are just coming into winter now and I can feel the chill the past couple of nights, not enough to light the fire but getting close.

Cool site Mark! Do you do lessons? My step daughter has Wolf von der Hausmaul with her, & said she took him to a guy in NJ for a 1/2 day schutzhund seminar for $40.00 per dog. She really enjoyed it, she had never gone beyond OB with her dogs before Wolf & Wolf's had extensive training, which he hasn't used in several years. She said he did pretty well, for a semi-retired old man. I was wondering if you were the guy? This was a few months back........I've been trying to encourage her to do more, she said Wolf clearly enjoyed himself. Her name is Yvonne & Wolf is a large dark sable, Czech/DDR lines.  jh
