Personally I think it may be to late ................. but the breathe right stips are great and you can link them together. I use them in and upside down T ..... with the bottom cross strip right at the break in the ear. ( where it folds over ) But buy a bunch cause they do scratch them out, and replace em ASAP.
Good luck ....

I noticed that the tear mender glue is recommended in the ear taping document, while this technique will work for a lot of dogs, I have one warning, this glue is latex based. My first dog had ear issues and we used the recipe recommened about, but my dog had a latex allergy and the glue so irritated his ears that we almost totally ruined the ears using it. My vet diagnosed the allergy and recommended I find another way to do the taping or forget it.
As I stated above, the techique works for most dogs, but use a disclaimer on that brand of glue or any brand for that matter, to CYA from litigous puppy buyers!

I used eyelash glue. I figured if it was safe enough to put on human skin and that close to human eyes - it would be safe for the ears.
Dayumm... that ear is 1/2 down again today....

If the ears have gone down due to teething and not poor genes, then feeding a lot of RMBs and bone-heavy meats will help restore the calcium the teeth have been stealing while growing in.
I have never had a GSD w/soft ears, but when I cropped my Pit's ears, the vet told me to tape for a month. I taped for a week and they are perfect; I fed him tons of chicken leg quarters and other bones. Granted, his ears may not look very big now, but at 11 weeks old, they were pretty tall for his head. Now his head has really grown and muscled out so that doesn't sound like much of a feat, but the vet was shocked that I never had to go back for a retaping.
A foam insert like for a shoe will work also. Make it so it sits inside the ear just enough to get it to stand up, then cut it in the ear shape and glue it. Or, popsicle sticks work also.
You have to keep them away from other dogs, obviously.

eyelash glue is difficult to make work, tearmender is a fabric glue and it will keep the foam in place
