(Don't care about training, accidently gets trained anyway)
I looked at the Sporn site and didn't see anything I would care to try.
A nylon collar is what I use for puppies until I start work with a long line at about six months, then I use a standard choke collar and a light fifteen foot line.
This is not Shutzhund training I do.
Training is as important as feeding in my opinion.
I've never had an untrained dog that didn't get into or cause trouble sooner or later. Especially a German Shepherd.
I do later use a harness but its much heavier then the sporn products.
I have a pinch but seldom use it. I've not had the need.
I have used an e-collar and other similar devices but only for extreme problems like poison proofing and chasing deer.
I have a simple but strange way of teaching a dog about traffic and cars, I roll a rimless tire on to a young dog at about eight months of age, no harm is done, its more about the scent and the suprise.
Almost all training takes setups to be really effective.
kemaris is going to training thats what I like to hear.
