I sometimes opt to use a kennel dip, its cheaper but maybe not any better.

You need to get food grade DE. There are 2 kinds- food grade and industrial/outside/garden. You can also sprinkle the food grade stuff in the carpet and then vacuum it. But if the dogs are eating it all the time, you won't have to worry about life cycles after the initial treatment. The non food grade stuff is TOXIC! So be careful.

I use nematodes and it is all natural. I live in the woods in Michigan and was tick infested until I picked up the nematodes. The DE would work as well.

It's labeled "food grade Diatomaceous Earth." I just googled it and found a few places. If you have a natural pet store, they may carrry it as well. I have a holistic vet who carries it in her office.

Move to Colorado. They die there, and it was heaven after leaving flea infested areas. I actually owned dogs that never had fleas. How beautiful is that.

Now I have to use frontline.

Bio spot was a huge joke when I was in FLA, did not work at all.

We have 82 acres in Colorado and plan on moving there within the next 5 years..........until then we deal with s/e texas fleas. I'm sure they're much like the fleas of FL.

Sorry, but I have to say it. Move to the Southwest desert area.

Here, the air is just too dry for fleas and ticks. Worms do not multiple much either.
