We have 2 WUSV member clubs here in the UK and i assume most of us are members of one or both, i assume again each of them have WUSV liason officers/coordinators should we not be contacting them directly, and asking that they as the WUSV to become involved, if the KC changes go through we can assume that we will at some point loose the use of foreign judges! do you want that, it does not affect me as an idividual as i turned my back on showing a few years ago, but i yearn for our breed to be propely controlled andf supported here in the UK via a system that works and that is specific to the BREED
Furthermore i think we should know who is representing us on such an importent subject, in particular the representatives from the WUSV member clubs, it is of great concern that there isa a severe conflict on interest with some of the potential candidates between the KC and OUR BREED

reason: could you please explain the conflict of interest for some Kennel Club Members representing the GSD in meetings WITH the Kennel Club.

It may surprise you that some readers, and even THE Kennel Club members, may not understand what you mean.

If any DISAGREE, I suggest they post their viewpoint.

My simple understanding of Conflict of Interest is How can one person properly represent 2 OPPOSING parties ie i would not want my divource solicitor representing my wife

Lets all stop beating around the bush and put it in broader terms.....(such filly fallying is why we never get anywhere),
there are people attending these Kennel Club meetings, supposedly on our Breeds behalf, who are also Kennel Club members, therefore Reason is perfectly correct in saying there IS a Conflict of Interest here.

In order to represent our Breed to the ABSOLUTE maximum (with respect to changes of the Standard or indeed anything else) one would have to be impartial to the wishes of the KC and quite clearly this is not necessarily the case. However, since the Serving Officers of this organisation seem unable to comprehend this very fact, then it is for the Members to speak out  or write in to express their concerns, pontificating about it on this database as an anonymous entity is doing nothing more than produce Soundbytes. I am NO LONGER a member of this Organisation, I let it lapse after I walked out.

For Goodness Sake People stop spouting and start doing. I dont see any of you making waves by attending AGM;s or rallying your Breed Club Committee's to do more or make more noise at BC meetings. Quite frankly the majority of you are all shirt and no trousers (no balls) , certainly lack the courage and committment you expect of your dogs.

Where were you all when it came to tackling Jemima on the other thread? Missing, or leaving it to others as usual.

Regards

I am sure that you, Videx and others Know exactly who attended the KC on behalf of the Partnership. I am sure you also know who sits in the KC  and who are members of the Associations that form the Partnership, i do not who they are, if however their names were to be known WE could lobby and question them on the matter.
Regarding the other thread i did not even see the programme so could not constructively attack/defend anyone, as you know i have never been quiet on the threads that i feel i have sufficient knowledge/experience to post on

SueB is 100% correct, all this posting on here will not make any difference, ONLY ACTION WILL. It is time to stand up and be counted, or we will miss the boat,AGAIN. I was going to ask exactly the same question as SueB about the other thread.  Like this one, there were several excellent posts, but where was/is everybody, where is all the support? I know that not everybody frequents this forum, but a large amount do, where's your support, comments, it seems to be the same posters all the time taking a lead. There has to be more people out there with comments to be made, STAND UP!!  SPEAK UP!! and BE COUNTED!!!!  liz
