Yeah, I think thats a crazy asking price on that dog if the eyes do stay blue because its a fault. I think the dad looks nice though. Thanks for your inputs.

The pups look like blues to me.  The blue eyes stay that way up to around 6 months and then change to light brown or, more often, yellow like a goat.  The coat colour darkens as well, to a dull off black as a rule, though the "powder" blues are lighter.  The blue only affects the parts of the coat and skin that would normally be black, like the nose and pads, so the tan areas remain the same colour as normal coloured dogs, most blues as adults are not obviously different to normals in appearance apart from the yellow eye until you see them next to a normal coloured dog.

Blue, liver.. its a dilute gene whatever it is.. and although they are cute.. .... their colors are not desirable, nor rare and nor shuld they be promoted as breeding stock.

I had a blue years ago out of show lines, she was silvery blue at birth and I about freaked out.. as a pup she looked just a shade lighter, almost dustier than her dad's blk/red in a picture of a christmas card sitting back to the camera.. as she grew her black again became more gray silver and her tan became almost orange..
She is now 10 years old but has suffered some immune system issues and I wonder if it all isn't tied in with the dilute color gene since some of her problems were skin related..

There was a blue champion in AKC history a gazillion years ago.. he was very successful in the show ring ..

See, sometimes it pays to be as old as dirt.. you can recount history!

It really is very difficult to tell what color the eyes are. We'd have to make the assumption that they are blue, if that is what the owner is stating. If the dog is sold over the internet, no face to face meeting, you would possibly not know, until you seen the pup. Now for me, I would not , for the most part, buy a pup without seeing it first, unless I knew the breeder and their ethics (I say for the most part because I DID BUY DUKE, SIGHT UNSEEN, but that was through Bullinger, would do it again too)
For the most part, the pups look nice sized and healthy! Just got to throw that in there,
I like Blue Shepherds, but wouldn't want one with Blue eyes!(except the blue eyed babies)

This little boy (to the right) was out of my Blue male, with my sable female, s you can see, his color was quite bold for the father being blue!
Dilute does not "necessarily produce dilute or "washed out color"!

And yes, there are quite a few of the same dogs that are in my pedigrees , in those pups from thead-show and working
