That video of Mr Murphy was wonderful.  I trained with Ivan in San Francisco in late 1997-1999(?)  The person I remember was not a member of Contra Costa Schutzhund but was coming to have Ivan solve some problems as many people did.

Is it possible that is the same Jack Russel or the same handler with a different Jack Russel?

Thanks Sue for the link, really wonderful.

Mr. Murphy was owned by Claudia Romard in Massachusetts.

Amazing that there would be multiple Jack Russels so talented in obedience and Schutzhund.

Maybe Ajay Singh knows, he was a regular visitor at that time.

M:  I agree with you 100% about Scotties!  Back when I groomed I HATED to cut their nails.  Little bastards legs are so short, but those jaws are long and they don't mind biting strangers one bit!  BUT, my friend, the idea of a 60lb Scottie.......well that's just the stuff of nightmares!!!!!

You are welcome, Pharoah!

Exactly why the notion of Russian Black Terriers is so insane!! WHO would even think of breeding 100+ pound terriers?? The very thought makes me shudder!!

We have three Bostons and we call them Boston Terrorists !  If they were even double the size they would be...well there are not words for it! LOL

It is possible to have a dog that will bite well AND also have a soft enough mouth to retrieve fallen game; there have been several labradors in the UK who have fulfilled both functions in Working trials and been shot over.

I have a retieving GSD gundog. She even brings back my clay pidgeons that we miss, that don' t break apart on impact. She hunts rabbit, quail, phesant, squirrel, duck and geese. Don't ask me about the mud hens and swans.
