Oh my God, what a tearjerker! What a bond you had, and a very special dog. Sorry for your loss.

Thank you for sharing such a wonderful tribute to such a great GSD as Dante. Truly he was most impressive. He had beauty, agility, courage, loyalty, intelligence, class, dignity, and immeasurable love and devotion for you as you did for him. The bond you shared together is obvious in this tribute and is impressive.
Certainly this great GSD Dante was a wonderful gift and blessing to you from God Almighty. And you will see him again, be sure of that. God loves us as much as we love our GSDs, and that is why we can trust Him to keep them in His loving hands for us to be with again when we cross over.
Your wonderful tribute pulled at my heartstrings and brought back all the wonderful memories and blessings that GSDs have brought to me over many years. Above all, their complete love, devotion and loyalty throughtout their whole lives has always impressed me.
What was so obvious in your tribute was the perfect temperament Dante had. His calmness and stability around others and his love for children and people was obvious. Truly, this is the finest GSD temperament that exists and what all GSDs should be like. It is because of these impressive traits that many GSDs carry, traits that impressed Captain Stephanitz so much that he bred to fix these traits and dedicated his whole life to the GSD breed as a working breed that was still docile, loving and peaceful around family and other pets at the end of the day. Dante's wonderful life was a credit to the Captains vision of what a GSD should be.
Thank you for sharing.

What a beautiful dribute for Dante. And a beautiful GSD he was. I could tell he was your best friend. And also very loyal to you. I don't know what I would do if I lost my "AX" He is a solid black GSD he is loyal to me and also my best friend. Your Dante is with you and is always watching over you. I believe in this with animals . He knows he was your special dog and your best friend. I hope this brings you a little comfort. I am so sorry for your loss.

I couln't watch it as I have dial up and having a very emotional day anyway, just to tell you ,, that no greater friend is he that has laid down their life and for you, your Dante will be with you till the end of time.
Cherish the memories thru the tears, and find the joy at the end that you were the part of DANTE'S LIFE that made it complete.
Many of us have had such beloved germans shepherds and we hold you up as you made this great tribute to Dante.
I have sung a song for years at many events entitled MY Tribute, written by Andrae Crouch made famous by Larnel Harris in the gospel world, " How can I say Thanks for the things you have done for me, THINGS so undeserved, yet you gave to prove your Love to me, and the voices of a million angels, could not express my gratitude, all that I am and ever hope to be I owe it all to you...To God be the Glory for the things he has done.. "
These words belong to us and our departed , whether human or our dogs. My husband has been gone 30 years and many of my beloved gsd have been gone half that long. Never is easy on a holiday especially a day of Thanks.

We know how you feel about your loss. most of us have gone through it many times and it is very hard , I too lost my Charlie 14 years old 13 months ago he is buried in the Rose Garden,
Then my Fred only 3 months ago, I miss them, and think of every day that they have been gone
They are special Pals, They give everything, but ask for nothing
And i look at there Photos every time i work on the Computer
To have them back i would give all i have,
But the Memories will never fade away, And one day we will meet again

Karmen,
That's a very nice video that really captures how much you loved Dante and all the time you spent with him. You were always his friend, and he yours, and together a team. The way it should be.
He had such a wonderful life with you filled with so much love and friendship. Won't it be amazing, when you see him again? :)
Your friend,
