Nothing against McCain, he's a war hero, and he never faltered during his time in the Hanoi Hilton. He had the oppertunity to be released early, but following the code of conduct, he refused preferential treatment and stayed true to the mission.
But I think he made a SERIOUS mistake in choosing Palin as his VP. He could've found a better female if he was looking for the "token chick" to impact female voters. Female perspective here: Palin does not represent our gender as well as others might.
All I can say: if I were using how great a rapport I have with Canada as a standing point, I would've at least called out this guy when he didn't get the Prime Minster's name right. *shrug*

I dont think she knew the Prime Ministers name, just as she had no clue which magazines and newspapers she read. The sad thing is that she doesnt know what she doesnt know. Yes, McCain made a very serious and egregious error when he picked her. He reached the point of no return, IMHO..
I had a lot of respect for McCain before this election. However, his nasty campaign changed my view of him. I think he would have done far better, had he just campaigned and checked the nastiness by the door. If he had focused on issues, instead of attacks, he would have fared far better. The night is far from over, but the thought of Sarah Palin as VP has me shaking in my boots...
