Another Titled Dog in Rescue - Page 3

 "help this girl find herself a good place to live out her years", great idea for those of you in the area. Better yet, since you ARE in the area, why not take her in until you do find a home......eh??

The rescues around here probably wouldn't let Shelley have or even foster this dog since she has multiple dogs and some live in kennels. I don't qualify with some either since I have an underground fence.  They aren't too keen on placing dogs unless it will be a permanent home and the dog will live inside as a pet and have an enclosed yard.  Some even have a limit on how far away the dog can live from the rescue.  Mid Atlantic requires the return of the dog if the adopter can't keep it and they do enforce that whenever it's necessary.

I have mixed feelings about all of this, but understand why they do it and why they can't make exceptions for those of us who are experienced dog owners. I think she's in a no kill shelter, so is in no danger of being put down as long as they feel she is adoptable. I wish I knew someone for her. We'll keep looking, someone good will turn up I think.

We all have our opinions weather or not a BH should be classified as a title.

I personally think A BH should be classified as title. It should be a basic Schutzhund obedience and temperament title put together as one, BH. Saying that it isn't is somewhat disrespectful for those who took the time, effort, and money to obtain the BH title on their dogs.
