4pack

Well once it happened when I was giving him a bath and I thought "oh shit"...did I touch him just the right way or what? LMAO Kinda sick but he has done it other times, just hanging out playing. I think he gets off doing bitework, cause he's always got wood for the decoys. He's too strong a dog for me to think it's stress, there is no other indications, he's always bold and very sure of himself, ears foward and will burn a hole through you with his stare.

excitement or rather over excitement is a form of stress when talking in behavioral terms.  he just needs to calm down a bit.  he can be taught to do this on command and eventualy do it himself - it's just a form of self control.

4pack,

sounds like dar's son.  15 months and the boy gets wood for decoys.  he will also do it for a toy during ob.

Oh I know the dif John. I could see the knot all swollen up under the skin. It's gross, your down at the park just throwing ball for him and sit on the grass for a break look over and DAMN! WTF is his problem? No other dogs around can't figure it out, it's just random. Maybe I just need to stud him out cause he's starting to look like the bulldog off of Van Wilder back there. Then I'm affraid it will get worse once he knows what he's missing. Right now he is still very imature mentally (typical male) I seriously don't think he even gets it that his sister is in heat 30 feet from him. He ain't acting any different or off his food. A little more energy than norm, but due to my grandpa and the hospital thing, we didn't train with the club all week, so that's probably the reason for the extra energy.

Blitz is almost 7 and has been neutered since he was about 7 months old. He still air humps at least once a day. He's been doing it since he was about 3, 4 months old. I wouldn't count on your dog outgrowing this and according to my experience, neutering does not end it either. Not sure what Blitz would be like if he weren't neutered. BTW, he's not bored and doesn't lack exercise, he's just a PIA.

I'll gladly accept the boners over the air humping anyday. My daughter has a Chi that will hump any stuffed animal you throw her way. Used to provide hours of entertainment but we didn't take her out in public.
