OK, here's a concept... when I was learning all about dog breeding and the science and the mechanics of it, I READ BOOKS!! I bought books and read everything I could and I still have my very first breeding book and yes, i still refer to it!
I have no problem answering questions and helping out when I can but man, people have got to pull their weight and research the subjects!! I just ordered 2 awesome dvd's by Dr Robert van Hutchins (I think that's his name).. he's a repro guy in Ohio... worth the investment

DiKah,
Unfortunately, your concept is novel with all too many people these days. People are lazy. They want to look at something over the internet and more often than not, cannot distinguish a decent source from one that is not. No one knows how to do research anymore. And IF they read, they will read something as piss poor as Wikipedia and consider their "research" done. Truth is, the reading level in our country is about grade 5. We have slipped in the educational rankings world wide, probably now well into the mid to high 20s placement. No wonder so many countries will beat us out at just about everything.
But watch out, make the kind of statements you just did, and you will get nasty emails too! LOL

Dkiah,
When you have a chance to view one or part of one, please PM me and let me know what you think and if they are worth the money. I bet they are.
Thank you.

Dkiah, When you do watch the DVD let me know what you think about it as well.
I'm also interested in the DVD but want to make sure if it's worth the money.

sure thing...... really trying to make it a goal..imagine that, I have to plan to sit down and watch a video! I was told by a repro vet tech that he is the best and if ever he was doing a seminar fairly close by, I should do all I could to get to it.
Checked his schedule and nothing was very close so I figured the DVD was the next best thing and unlike my notes, I will always have it

You are going about this all backwards, putting the cart before the horse, so to speak. The ethical thing to do is learn all aspects of GSDs, titling, showing, animal husbandry, genetics, etc., BEFORE you can even begin to consider breeding GSDs.
I looked at your website: http://www.ultimatek9protection.com/index.html
You state: "We breed only the highest quality German import bloodlines who are true to the breed standard, and possess perfect temperament and drives for Personal Protection Dogs , Schutzhund , Search and Rescue Dogs, Competition Obedience, Agility, Dual Purpose Police K9's and German Shepherds for Family Companion."
These are some pretty amazing claims. Considering you are by your own admission a novice and have not shown or titled a GSD, how would you know your dogs not only possess these qualities but would pass them on? What qualifies you as an expert?
To those who think we should help with his breeding questions - WE ARE. The best advise is the most honest.
