It's good to remind ourselves, from time to time, that the foundational charter of America... the Declaration of Independence, is a creationist document. Our founding fathers separated from England by citing the Biblical truth that all men are created equal.
You apparently must be British. This status recognized unalienable human rights granted by the "Creator" ..... and not by men or governments or democracy. Like your pushing FUBAR. (America is a Republic) The world once benefited by the successful separation of the British Crown, (of course the world is seeing us now under it's control . phuuu) as America has been a source of freedom and hope to many. I'm sure the British would disagree but hey WTF..
Most importantly, America has been a nation from which the Gospel has emanated. Hence, "the mother of all "living" and of course "hath made of one blood all nations of men" ohh and "all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God" and another "every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation" ... the inscribed words on the tablet Lady Liberty is holding confirms this and welcomes all as equals. Thank's to the French. Go Google. I wonder if all the Lady Liberties are still standing.
FUBAR, your Hegelian dialectic of thesis, antithesis, and synthesis can't change America's history, no matter how much you try. You surely can't change my thinking, and I choose to regain our once beloved "status quo". Unfortunatly for me, the balls in your court.
I guess I could argue with you all day about America the "Experiment" and wether the Founders are right or wrong with chosen words for "their country" ... but, I look at it this way ... you can clearly see from my words alone that the American "Experiment" is alive and well.. actually it's become more hardy by way of root, the Founders done good ... so your points of ridicule are nothing really of meaning.. just corruption as I see it.

....... The Flag still waves as a Republic and a free and independent people united for the principles and foundation of the real America as signed. Ya know... I find it quite ironic how many people like you there are now adays ... I can tell you there are millions dressin' like me, all races, colors and creeds .. in reality of course. Personally, I've never met in real life anyone like you ... but this is a good thing, for me of course. Or maybe not.
"That all men are born to equal rights is clear. Every being has a right to his own, as clear, as moral, as sacred, as any other being has. This is as indubitable as a moral government in the universe. But to teach that all men are born with equal powers and faculties, to equal influence in society, to equal property and advantages through life, is as gross a fraud, as glaring an imposition on the credulity of the people, as ever was practiced by monks, by Druids, by Brahmins, by priests of the immortal Lama, or by the self-styled philosophers of the French revolution. For honor's sake ... for truth and virtue's sake, let American philosophers and politicians despise it." ~ John Adams LOL Gotta love John.
As you can see, Adams firmly believed that we are born "equal", meaning that as "individuals", we are independently free as a people. As strongly as Adams believed in that equality, he believed in the inequality of man also. I think of you FUBAR.
"But what are we to understand here by equality? Are the citizens to be all of the same age, sex, size, strength, stature, activity, courage, hardiness, industry, patience, ingenuity, wealth, knowledge, fame, wit, temperance, constancy, and wisdom? Was there, or will there ever be, a nation, whose individuals were all equal, in natural and acquired qualities, in virtues, talents, and riches? The answer of all mankind must be in the negative. It must then be acknowledged, that in every state...there are inequalities which God and nature have planted there, and which no human legislator ever can eradicate" ~ John Adams .... << Beautiful isn't it ?

Soooo, when we celebrate July 4th every year, our "Independence" .. we share equality with all as a "one people", a "one Nation" all "under God". Some appreciate that .. some don't. FUBAR, you seem to have a problem with it. But then your not American, so to be expected. But, you would be the one to pervert this country by legislator, not I.

A free people [claim] their rights as derived from the laws of nature, and not as the gift of their chief magistrate. ~ Thomas Jefferson
A morsel of genuine history is a thing so rare as to be always valuable ~ Thomas Jefferson

All eyes are opened, or opening, to the rights of man. The general spread of the light of science has already laid open to every view the palpable truth, that the mass of mankind has not been born with saddles on their backs, nor a favored few booted and spurred, ready to ride legitimately, by the grace of God. ~ Thomas Jefferson
Although a republican government is slow to move, yet when once in motion, its momentum becomes irresistible. ~ Thomas Jefferson

And can the liberties of a nation be thought secure when we have removed their only firm basis, a conviction in the minds of the people that these liberties are the gift of God? That they are not to be violated but with his wrath? Indeed I tremble for my country when I reflect that God is just: that his justice cannot sleep for ever. ~ Thomas Jefferson
Cherish, therefore, the spirit of our people, and keep alive their attention. Do not be too severe upon their errors, but reclaim them by enlightening them. If once they become inattentive to the public affairs, you and I, and Congress, and Assemblies, Judges, and Governors, shall all become wolves. ~ Thomas Jefferson

Almodovar,
The Jehovah's used to come around and I would discuss theology with them until one day they asked for money. I told them I could give of my time but had no money for them, I asked them if they had anything I could do to serve, help out the elfderly, or the poor, or anything they did for the people they serve and they explained to me that they didn't do thing's like that in their church. That was not in their teaching's and was solely up to the individual. I asked again why they didn't offer any kind of help through their church to their brother's and was told we just don't do that.
Mind you we had been talking about all of the trouble's of man and what was wrong with the world, mainly man's inhumanity toward's man. They must go out and proclaim their faith and speak the word in public to confirm their place in heaven, rather self serving I decided. I didn't like the variation's in their bible either. I told them they were part of the problem and not part of the cure and ran them off the first time. They come around periodicaly like clock work and had been doing so for several year's. They didn't seem to get my message until the last time when I fired a round in the air and said GIT !!! This they understood.
I haven't seen them since but often wondered how they would take it if I went to their home's and ate up their day blowing smoke up their ass's and asking for a handout.
I have my own belief's and would not dream of forcing them on someone else. And I never take charity. And if someone's in need I offer a helping hand, not a hand out.
Many have predicted the end of man, its not hard to see. Yet it's my belief it doesn't have to happen, even if it's already begun. We'll see who survive's.
Brent.

Two Moons: Good analogy, and just like a cake that you leave out some of the main ingredients.; It will fall and sometimes you can use the end result to some usefulness and sometimes you can't. It all depends on who finds the cake and what they KNOW HOW to do with a fallen piece of dough., baked without the needed ingredients.

by Two Moons on 28 July 2008 - 19:07
AhSighEE,
I understand what you are trying not to say, I can see what other's cannot when I look with open eye's.
We'll have to discuss it another time, I'm off to see the wizard, I need a pac O smoke's.
Till then.

If you use earthlink for your internet provider you might want to know about the problems I had with them. I used them for a number of years and then changed recently because they kept trying to install spyware on my computer and kept sending it in an internal loop to a "monitoring agency" located in California on "admiralty way". This loop was slowing my internet speed down to a crawl. When I inquired about this I was told it was just an internal data processing step. I was able to find out from an internet expert however, that earthlink was allegedly doing this to all their users without any valid warrant and using it to spy on their users and then perhaps sell and/or provide this information to other corporations or govt agencies. I have now learned that earthlink is rumored to be owned by the "church of scientology". If you have earthlink you might want to research this and see if it is true. Here is a very interesting blog article on who seems to have been running this spy op.
This loop has typically had the name "blackhole", or noelohost 127.0.0.0. Now it is rumored that since the internet was started and financed by darpa and paid for with "drug money" that it could be considered pure black ops all the way and the largest int'l intel operation ever conceived or enacted. Interesting thing is that this same system appears to have its own blowback. That is, the internet appears to have set off a multi-point spontaneous elicitation of populist thinking all over the world, truly a new mass phenomena never experienced before. It is eroding all the major media and becoming a force for good unto itself. Unless the shadow govt moves quickly to make it "pay for use" and starts restricting is content, the internet could easily seed the demise of many corrupt shadow govt entities in many different countries. I was once told a number of years ago that the folks who started the internet sold it as one thing when they secretly wanted it to create many revolutions of populism worldwide and bring in a new renaissance. That they were setting up a multi-faceted trojan horse for good. I hope this is true.
