Several months after my transplant I was playing ball with the dog and ripped a hole in my sutures. Had to have the entire 14 inch long incision re-done. That was big ouch :(

I can't believe I forgot this one.......I was walking around the end of the breakfast bar and Heike ran underneathe the end of it, hit my legs and knocked me down. When I hit the floor it dislocated my shoulder. I was stuck under the bar and in too much pain to try to get up. Thankfully my cell phone was on my hip so I called for help. Got an ambulance ride out of that one.

Lets see.....Dislocated shoulder with a briused humorous bone (no it wasnt funny!) doing a run away bite for a police dog. 6 cracked ribs from muzzle fighting. Thousands of compression briuses, damn hidden sleeves! broken finger from a leash..attached to a sprinter GSD...No punctures! woo hoo!

Yeeeoowww!!! I ruined my right shoulder last year, Beckett decided to leap off the porch & take off like a bat out of hell to greet my daughter, who had just pulled into my driveway; he took me completely unaware, as I couldn't see that her car was in the driveway, but Beckett knew, & when he took off, he pulled me off the top step of the porch....I flew about 8 feet, landed on my wrists. My daughter said, as she helped pick me up, "Wow, Mom, you really caught some air!" Torn right rotator cuff, complete tear of the tendons....ortho doc said my shoulder was the most complex reconstruction he's done in quite a while....16 weeks off work.....not to mention bites, scratches, contusions...I'm always limping...need a right knee replacement, probably due to the same fall....my friend EJ, who also has GSD, & I are always comparing our wounds, LOL, but she grossed me out when she showed me her tongue, which her parrot had completely bitten in half,(split down the middle!)--don't even want to know how that happened! And don't get me started on the old horse injuries! Heh-heh-heh! jh

When we first went to visit Jasper at four weeks old, my son had an infected ingrowing big toe nail which was nicely scabbed over, told him not to wear sandles that day but did he listen? nope, so Jasper promptly ate the lovely large scab. My son decided that we had to have him as they were now blood brothers.
When taking Jasper out for a walk somehow my wedding ring got wedged in the door handle and as I was trying to lock the door Jasper pulled one way but my finger didn't get to move, had the ring cut off at hospital and am very reluctant to wear one again, boy did that hurt, was swollen for weeks.
The joys of our animals, our cat has a bad attitude and will take chunks out of you for no reason other than being there.
Ann.

I took my female to the field to play ball. I keep a long line on her so I can grab her easily if a stranger approaches. Any way I reared back and threw the ball a hard as I could. The line was around my right foot and I went feet first into the air and landed on my left hand. My left wrist still hurts. No one saw it happen...thank GOD. Very embarrassing!!!
