But Wait,

I understand how one may think it is unimportant for a dog to walk in a circle and learn to heel by your side,
you may think, my dogs smarter than this!

We all have to start somewhere in understanding the behavior are dogs present to us.

I believe my dogs can be trained to do just about anything, I have not been lazy in training my dogs,
just busy at raising 8 humans.

I still felt obligated to make sure there are decent, well tempered and versitle gsd's out there.
I love the breed, I've owned gsd's since I was 13 yrs. old.       The first gsd I owned was a nerve bag.
I loved him just the same, and he wouldn't let anyone harm me, I used to walk through dark alley's,
and get a real kick how no one would approach upon hearing that low growl.

That time has passed, I have learned I do not want to own a nerve bag, Max was my baby at the time,
very little socialization, I hovered over him, I was the one ruining him.

You need to get your gsd out there around crowds, he needs to do what you tell him, they are extremely
smart, their feelings won't be hurt if you train them

I have trained all my dogs for numerous hours, also my children have trained many a dog, but one day my
17 yr.old daughter asked why I want a Companion Dog title on her dog she has trained for years (4 years)
She told me "I still love Claire whether she has titles or not"  Claire is a yellow lab that my daughter trained
by herself, and I got a CGC  on Claire, only because my daughter trained her.

Titles in a pedigree are very important to me, they tell me that the dogs have been outside their envirorment
and around strangers, or have walked through crowds of people, it puts me at ease.

Some lady called and asked if I had any more pups for sale, she had a well bred gsd from American show lines that she
mentioned was a bit "over-protective"  I know the lines very well, and have seen siblings, they are very obedient.
I though maybe she has brought this behavior on, also her dog has had no formal training..........
Glad my pups are all gone.......

I have to say, Michelle, that Pharaoh has a great looking head in that one shot.  Do you have a silloette shot of him?  Just curious if his head is as big and broad as it looks...he looks so big boned in his picture...it is rare that solid black GSDs also have big bone.  He looks DDR to me.
