If we were all a little more helpful and less hypocritical this would be a better breed with less problems.
Eveyone has a way to follow a path, some just prefer to get muddier then others during the journey. I,m no great sage by any means But I find no fault in Do the best you can when you can and keep the breed in mind I find good advise. But maybe you could also say When you do, do the best you can and keep the breed in mind. we all do things a little different and if any one had a perfect solution what would we do next... As i,ve always said if every body liked the same thing there would only be vanallia ice cream.
all about the dogs... to each his own...you have a good day.

OK for the sake of argument lets say all I can do or afford is buy two littermates out of the paper for $300 each. I can't keep them apart, don't have kennels. The dogs will breed every heat cycle. I can swing puppy shots for the dogs I buy, a couple dog houses and some Old Roy. I worm once a year and wont be able to vaccinate or worm pups because I don't think I will profit enough doing all of that. Would you buy puppies form me? That's the best I can or want to do!
I'd love to find the person with enough patience to school these fools day in and day out. Once you get the board all on the same page, a whole new class rolls in and we start over again. I use up my patience with kids at work, don't really have enough to spred thin on all the fools that think breeding dogs will make enough, they can sit on their asses all day and maybe even pull some gov't funding on the side.
If people come here to learn, they will from past posts. Saddly enough most people don't research or search the messageboard, they read only what's on page 1.

Okay:
Do the best you can when you can and keep the breed in mind. I didnt think this was going to go where it has but whammo were her so lets break this down... 4pack to your hypothetical, Do the best you can (by your example) you are not doing the best you can you are doing what you want to do, When you can, obvisley you can,t at this time, and keep the breed in mind again your hypothetical isn,t keeping the breed in mind... I,m not arguing about this, this could go on till eternity I got a idea lets debate the out come of global thermonuclear war?

Well Bob this isn't kids T-ball it's breeding live animals and if you can't do it right, I say don't do it at all. Who's to say one mans best isn't good enough for the next guy? It's called dumbing down the breed and it's BS. I want to breed GSD's but I want to be known for breeding great ones not crap. I'm waiting until I have the right dogs and titles on those dogs. If that never happens, then I did my best, but I wont do it half ass and say "that was my best"!
