Puppies kinda cute, not sure what type of pedigree she has but she's nice looking.  That's pretty much all we can say from just that pic.

"please let me know if you gsd lovers would like to do buisness with someone with the best intentions of the breed in mind"

oh my, i'm not trying to be mean, but please put your dogs on a diet.  They are more than obese.  it is not healthy in anyway for them to be that fat.

OGBS,

In reference to  your post:

"I can see your add in the local paper there in Kentucky.

German Shephard (notice the "a") puppies for sale. AKC Full registration. These puppies will be HUGE! Father on site. He weighs 140lbs. Mother is about 120lbs. These are Champion blood lines.

You have no business breeding dogs. You are/will be one of the BS breeders!

It's funny, normally I joke with people from Michigan and say "Michigan, the Kentucky of the north".

What does one say about Kentucky? "Kentucky, the Kentucky of the south?"

I agree that the author of this thread has no business breeding German Shepherds (notice the "e"); however, to single out Kentucky is unfair and frankly ignorant. I normally only read posts in order to educate myself, but I feel the need to defend my home state and the many German Shepherd breeders in Kentucky who do it the right way. I am not a breeder. I simply have dogs that I enjoy training and showing as a hobby. However, the breeders that I know do train their dogs and do work at improving the breed.

I know from reading posts on this message board that Kentucky does not have a monopoly on ignorance of the breed or just ignorance in general.  Unfortunately for the dogs, there is an abundance of ignorant people involved with German Shepherds from all over this country and the world.

I would like to comment on some of your replies.  First , the large dogs are not ours. They have nothing to do with my program.  I don't make decisions on breeding based on appearance or pedigree alone.  Now, I know a lot of you do run your programs like that, but not me.  I only make a decision to breed after living with, loving, and working our dogs for many years. I believe that there are no bad dogs, just bad owners and trainers.  As long as the dog is healthy and sane, there is hope with proper training.  Just because I told her I may be interested in breeding the female, does not automaticaly mean I would do so.  There is no way to tell if any pup or dog of any age is suitable to breed without knowing the dog on a personal level.  So for any of you who would say I don't have best intentions for the breed in mind, you just don't know anything about me.  I have had to make that very hard decision to put my best friend down and would never intentionally put a person in that situation by breeding a dog with health or behavorial problems.   The only thing that made a difference in the bs breeders' mind about whether that dog was breeding quality or not was money.  Also, the person that claims to have seen my ad for pups is wrong.  I currently have no pups for sale, and I surely know how to spell "German Shepherd".  Finally, all of you who feel it necessary to make personal comments about my loved ones should take a good look at yourselves in the mirror.  By the way, I will be thinking of you next time I go to the outhouse barefooted  while sipping moonshine!  Ha.
