"I too would like everyone to be seen as who they are.  It sure would be something to see how nice everyone would all of a sudden become, if their identity was "out there"."

That would probably solve almost every major problem with the internet as a whole including spam, scams, etc... but they haven't quite figured out how to govern the internet yet and I'm not sure that I want them to, now that you mention it.

Another issue is that if someone wanted to they could easily hide their ip address anyway. Just google "hide my ip" and look how many listing come up... 1,580,000! So really what's the point? So that all the "private investigators" here can think they are "on to someone"?

Actually I have stated hit since his first post, that Abhay and Capt. Mike were one and the same.  But who cares.  Both are amusing in their own ways.

Abhay, you are correct that Oli knows who everyone is (well, most likely).  I do find it interesting that you used these words to describe your "attendance" on this site.    "Oli is well aware of all the handles I use."   "Handles"?  Are there more?  Please answer that since you are so in favor of full disclosure for us all.

Here is a question.  If I did have another handle or two, since you also have another handle or two, what would make me worse than you?  Are you saying that I have used another "handle" to attack anyone, or threaten anyone?  Would it matter if you were also UglyDog, FunkMan, Capt. Mike, ForePlay, or petlover?  Would your backers on here suddenly become attackers?  Would my backers on here suddenly become attackers? Would they all become mute?  Would there be a big AHA?  Would you somehow score some points because you "outed" yourself today and I did not?

I am all for the full correct name of all posters on this forum being able to be identified through a process, much like Ebay has.  You can find out who anyone on Ebay is if you need to.  I think that it would be great if this site did the same thing.  It sure would soften up some of the crap that goes on here, and stop some of the false bravado and trashing by anonymous posters.

But then, there are those that would not have a life without their fantasy internet ID's, so.........................................

Good luck with that one!

Ninja some people knew, we just kept tight lipped. Why spoil the fun? IP's or not I don't care either way. I only ever post as myself except the one week I was Mickey Mouse Kennels, for shits and giggles.

Walter asks, If I did have another handle or two, since you also have another handle or two, what would make me worse than you?

That question is very easy to answer..... I have never claimed to be a good guy. (Quite the opposite). I have stated that I have always been wild, reckless, in trouble with the law etc. I have admitted to being a Character, with the maturity of a 13yr old boy.  I would imagine that people would be surprised, if I didn't have half a dozen handles.

Under any handle, I have always tried to be either informative or comical. The only person I have ever really had cross words with is you. No matter what handle I have used, I tried to be respectful, unless pushed.

You on the other hand, are the "Good Guy". You are the self proclaimed "HERO" of the DB. You will be held to a much higher standard than someone such as myself.  Heavy is the Halo there Walter!

Mickey Mouse Kennels? LMAO

Off hand I don't remember reading any of those posts, but I wish I did. I agree with not spoiling the fun with Capt. Mike, it was very amusing.

Why ruin the entertainment?

http://www.pedigreedatabase.com/gsd/bulletins_read/174569.html#177226  enjoy Ninja, it was quite entertaining. Esp when Do Right who hates my guts joined in, not knowing it was in on the joke.

im sorry,  just trying to lighten the mood.  i like the idea of posting ip's.  i know some people will worry about there identity being exposed, but i know of a lot of boards where you have to disclose such things to become a member.   maybe thats why so many people who dont want to be know use this one.

cool pic of the owl, you'll have to explain that one.

john
