If Karen's other female, Ulli, is in the run for Uni S, shouldn't that dog have been in the Regional?

Okay Nia, I'm totally lost. Would you, could you explain that please????????

Now Mystere, you touted that dog as being basically the only one at half a chance for Uni and now it appears that breeding her is more important? I hope Mary D. is footing the bill to send them to Wisconsin.
I hope they do compete in a Regional somewhere and that they do well. Karen deserves a shot.
You claimed others had no intention of competing and were just using the declaration to compete for Uni to promote their dogs. But surely Mary and Karen knew that Ule would be coming into season and would have to make a reservation for the sire? Do you see a difference? I don't see a difference.
You have been cross-examined babe.

Wanderer,
Correction_ I NEVER "touted" her as being "the only one..." I said she was one of the very few whose owner/handler has done more than simply declare, as the dog has been openly trialed in the US and Canada, and there was a stated committment to entering a regional, obtaining a qualifyng score, etc.
The question was already answered: they INTEND to compete in a regional, as required, and go on to the nationals. The others NEVER indicated any such intention, even when directly asked and their owners/handlers were posting on the same thread, but avoided the question. The SS dogs(with notable exceptions, such as Juneau, and the dog handled by Ted hartman at this past weekend's regional) have NEVER trialed in a USA trial, if in any trial in this hemisphere. THAT is tone big difference. Has anyone seen Ronaldo, for example, in a trial? Has there been any indication that there is any intention to enter him in a regional, or any other USA trial? 9hint--Go back to the SS thread and see how many times I asked, with no response).
As for the ___of breeding the dog--AGAIN, I say: show folks are from another planet. Breeding seems to be more of a priority with show folks than with the working crowd. Certainly, no working person would think of breeding the bitch until AFTER the "big event," whatever that might be. As I said, you'd have to get the answer from Mary as to why breeding the bitch now is such a priority. As I also said, Mary hasn't held a leash this century--consequently her plans may not be the most reasonable or judicious regarding the training needed, or the consequences of the disruption of whelping. After all, it apparently is not as big a deal for showing...
You've been rebutted, babe.

Mary's plan now is for Ule to be trialed in a regional in Wisconsin(?)(!!!!!) in September. It's nuts-anity to me....
COOL! I'll look forward to being there too! Another "nut" who doesn't mind a little road trip to enter a good event.

Shelley, Would that be with Ronaldo? Is there actually going to be something more than a mere declaration for Universal Sieger? If so, best wishes! It would be EXCELLENT to "see" two show line dogs declared for Universal Sieger actually going for it on the same field in a regional championship!!:-) One of the declarants was entered in the PNW regional championship last week, so I have to give kudos to the owner for not just declaring and nothing more. The dog only earned 40 points in tracking (California dogs are not used to tracking on grass!!), but he only had to participate to qualify for the nats and I understand that he had already earned a qualifying score (270 pts) in another USA trial since last fall. So maybe, just maybe there will actually be MULTIPLE dogs in the running for Uni Sgr in the nationals.....finally! :-)

OK, I stand rebutted. No further questions. No hard feelings. All the best to Karen and her quest for the Uni title. It would be nice to see.
Further to that, it would have been nice to see if Ule had been entered in the Canadian Championships and might have got a chance at the Worlds!

Congrats to Karen for doing so well. She is a good handler who works hard, has a good training group and they have squeezed the most out of the dog. Talk about the trial and the dogs involved, but why you people feel the need to talk about her personal business just baffles me especially since she is not even in the discussion. Why she is breeding her dog and to who and what her plans are all things that should be talked about off a public forum if you really must talk about other peoples business.
