Quote: Ring is for Mals, again designed for them, but there is nothing wrong in just doing it for fun.

Ring was NOT designed for Malinois. It was designed for working dogs, irrespective of breed. In fact a Malinois did not win the french ring championship until 1979 or 1980. Before that it was the GSD winning most years.

I've worked in both over the years with GSD's. Each has it's pro's and con's. French is great if you hate to track and the bite work is more practical and realistic (full body bites). The decoy has more fight and intensity. The main problem with French is the vertical wall that the dog must climb. This is a real problem for the larger GSD's - plus it's brutal on the joints. The dogs love it!!
