That dog definately is not an Alpha dog and yet extemely stable. That is decent training especially for a 7 month old pup the only thing that I see there is the dog released everytime the decoy says he gives up instead of listening to the handler (he definetly is listening to the decoy)... the bites are not full. (biting with half of mouth and alot of times a frontal bite) . He should back up the bite training and build the bite better before all the senario training... I do not know anything about him either. He seems to be moving to fast in training ( build the bite, build the fight drive in the dog to bring better intensity to the decoy).
One other point is the dog really is not getting rewarded for what he is doing, so he appears to be bored...

Preston, interesting video. My dog has the calm and confident part, now I just have to teach him to bite on command and I can save myself 8K My boy is also a definite man-stopper, he just doesn't know it yet.

If he is a normally temperamented, sound GSD of west German or check border breeding he probably doesn't need to be trained to bite on command. One of the nice things about a good GSD is that when folks are gone, a GSD is unlikely to let anyone inside without a good fight.
If you want to train him for PP work, best to work with someone close to home that is a very experienced, caring dog trainer so as not create a liability hazard for yourself.

I can not believe you still are saying the things you say. You sound like the dogs already come trained out of the womb.

Here are two dogs I am very familiar with living as an everyday dog with 3 kids (1,4,9 yr old).

One is a 17 month old female.
Look at the intensity these dogs bring to the bite (head shake ect.)....

One of the recommended trainers is in my neck of the woods, maybe an hour and a half from here. Might be a place to start. Check out one of his dogs and get an opinion on mine.

ts, obviously you have not owned or been around rock solid west german bred GSDs with strong natural drives and need for territorial dominance (which the germans call "natural defense". This is what makes them desired all over the world and keeps the price high.

Actually WG are some of my most sought after lines.
But them again I am getting very partial to my 8 month old female that is on a regular sleeve with tremendous intensity

Not super dominate but doesn't need to be because she knows she rocks. I have 2 other males in my house with no dominance issues. All 3 run loose and are with my 2 yr old daughter. I took my female to a club and they said I could not have her around my daughter because she is so vicious ( need less to say I don't go to that club anymore) uneducated people.
