MVF, would you say the qualities for a guide dog are more difficult to find than those of a guard dog? I'm thinking that's why more dogs fail the guide dog tests, but would like to hear your opinion.

Thanks for the wealth of info on here. That being said, can someone direct me to a thread on here on how you usually carry out your puppy temperament/drive test?
Thanks a lot!

I've heard of Campbell's temperament test, but have never actually tried it.

Great thread!
I just joined PDB (on a few other GSD Forums) and am waiting on a puppy to be born. Already have 2 GSD's and the breeders both did a great job picking pups for me. This time I get to help whelp and pick, it will be fun to see them born and develop but I have stressed over the "right" pup. Which one will be the right pup for agility???
I was also reading an article written by Susan Garrett (agilty person). She said sometimes you just go with your heart!
