Sch III- you were obviously implying I was trying to "recreate" as someone else and I was merely making it obvious that I am the same person. No hostility here, and btw, it became my "bees wax" when you addressed me. Happy trolling, I mean "traveling".

Dont you think that if she was trying to cover up who she is, she wouldn't have picked a name that obvious?? Grow up.

My question is this: Would you rather breed your bitch to a Sch3 kkl dog, or an active duel purpose police or military k9??
Answer: I'd breed to a dog that has both...I have one, lol...just had to answer that;-)
PSP AND DPO are approved breeding titles for police K9.
Yeh Kyle but it is hard to find an experienced trainer for that, I tried!
I agree with everything you said Kyle, in addition...there are shit police dogs just like there are shit SchH3 dogs. I prefer titles for the sake of the pedigree and future progeny with it, but each dog I'd consider on an individual basis and see them work.

All things being equal... police K9 gets my vote. Schutzhund is a choreographed routine, and whereas it can weed out some of the crap dogs, all three of the phases are just approximations to the situations that a real working dog would have handle.
That being said, there's the usual caveat about whether or not the K9's can PRODUCE themselves. Years ago I flew out to South Carolina to get a puppy out of a litter bred from a pair of active police dogs, the male a patrol dog and the female a drug dog. Out of 10 puppies there wasn't a single puppy I would take home. Even the owner's friend, a LEO and K9 handler, pulled me aside and told me not to waste my time with this litter.
I can't say this is typical, and I still have my preference. Unfortunately, in my neck of the woods there are not many options because all of the working police K9's but one are Mali's or Mali crosses.

Most active k-9 dogs do not have an AKC registration. Their dogs and offspring could only be titled as "Mixed" under USA regulations until ownership/import transfers are satisified for the AKC.

all things being equal, health, hips, ability to produce, temperament, papers, etc. my vote would go to the police K9 and it would not matter if it was showline or workingline as long as it got the job done.

funny how this comes up now. i am breeding my v-sch3-kkl1 bitch to a k9. the owner/officer also owned the father of my bitch. when push comes to shove, i would have to say that you must truly know both dogs in order to decide which one will compliment your dog the best.
pedigrees and titles will only take you so far. a good understanding of the dogs themself and how they will reproduce will take you a lot further.

I guess it all boils down to what you're looking for. I wouldn't want to breed to any dog just because he was a police dog or titled, but I would lean towards a schutzhund dog because that's where my interest lie and I have a better understanding of that type of dog and absolutely none when it comes to the police/military k9s.
