Thanks for the correction GSD fan, and sorry Gustav (and even sorrier for the other Gustav). The person who put that pic there needs to be shot. I won't be able to get that dog out of my mind. When I first looked at the pic, I thought it was a joke, like someone pasted a big head on the body of, I don't know what! That person seriously needs some glasses, and a visit from the ASPCA, I mean really.
Again, SORRY GUSTAV!

LMAO--- Too bad, any dog who can type is breed-worthy in my book, title or not. You never know, his talents may lean more toward academe than sports, perhaps PhD?
Sorry, couldn't resist.

I really do not understand why people get dogs and then let them get as disgustingly thin as that dog is. THAT really gets my goat. Seems to me if you are unable or unwilling to properly care for a dog, why on earth would you get one????????

Thanks GSDfan, I was only joking and trying to bring a little levity to the discussion. You know me too well!!!
As for others, no offence taken, I actually never looked at the dog Gustav to make an assessment on his situation!

re: gustav --the dog
ditto my thoughts too as to his AD picture.....he kinda looks like his dad in an extremely malnourished//misproportioned kinda way...
-----I cant help but wonder****which picture of him is the BEFORE or AFTER??????????????????????????????
if the AD picture is current he's in dire need of help STAT-----

I know this dog, never met him personally but saw a lot of pictures of him while a friend had him, his previous owner really wanted him back so they cut a deal and he went back.....He went back to his previous owner looking great, he'd filled out and wasn't lacking in groceries in any way shape or form. The better pic of him on his pedigree standing by a tree my friend took not too long after she got him, maybe a few weeks to a month after or so and he'd already gained some weight. Well I'm not sure exactly when he went back but it has been a number of months and then she sold him. The person who has him now hasn't had him long and will hopefully take better care of him than the person in Michigan. Also I want to say that he was thin when my friend purchased him but no where near the condition he is currently in, no clue what happened after he went back to Michigan but it sure looks like he hasn't seen any groceries at all to me, I feel sorry for Gus and hope things look up w/ his new owner.
Crystal.....................the pics below my friend took in September b4 he went back to his original owner as you can see he didn't lack for groceries.

I just checked his pedigree and that's not one my friend took, may have been taken where he is currently, hopefully they will fatten him up so to speak.

if gustav has EPI---they shouldn't even think of breeding him also??
wonder when the last time he was to vets??????
> either something medically is wrong ***OR ****he is severely neglected & this person needs reporting!!!!!!!!!

Wow. He looks fine in the Sept. pix. I'm not thinking EPI here. I'm thinking neglect. I hope someone responsible and kind gets this dog SOON.
