"I referred to ourselves as BYB, only because we are new to this but we hope to breed a champion one day....as alot of others do....dream big!" I'm curious as to why you feel the need to breed a champion instead of making ones out of the dogs you already have (especially before breeding - but that point seems moot at the moment!)

since the pups re still young, how about prelims of hips and elbows on the parents. If they are 2 then go ahead and get final hips and elbows. Good luck... The papers around here offer AKC or CKC or WKC German aHep. pups for $250. What kind of life will these dogs have?

Lots of poor people in my area. Most they can afford is $300 for a gsd. Jerland sells their rejects with no registration papers for $5oo. Guess it depends how much people in your area are willing to pay. Good luck with finding those babies homes! p.s. Happiness is a warm puppy.

Glad to see some calm and helpful people on here. Good for you guys; you know who you are. Dog people are very judgemental and all-knowing about what is right - and what you're doing. Horse people next.

"Dog people are very judgemental and all-knowing about what is right" yup - and we are also the people who pay for these mistakes, we rescue dogs, run shelters, hold dogs while they're euthanized, support dog charities and help find homes for unwanted and unplanned litters. I wonder why we bother caring....

Just had a sick thought, wonder if the hubby felt bad for the male. LOL sorry newbie that everyone jumped down your throat. happens all the time! stick around as there is alot of good information here, if you can wade through the crap!

Newbie, I just looked back, how ironic that your neighbor just had a litter of GSD pups you were interested in purchasing back on Nov 10 and wanted to know what you should pay for it. That was your post wasn't it? My guess is $500 with Limited Registration Papers sold as pets is fair. Microchip the pups, shots 7 deworm before they leave (should be done anyway).
