These lists for the most part are West German lines, and not a fair representation of the entire breed. Note however, that the best figures in hip production come from "working lines" for the most part. For working ability, I feel this is a good representation. There are many repetitive names as producers and the patterns that result are a work in progress for me at the moment. Roughly, one in six on this list are bred through Fero bloodlines, more than double the influence of other producing lines for strength in overall working ablity, most of these produced through his well known sons, Timmy and Troll, but mostly through Troll. Of Troll's best producing sons, Aly and Yoschi are in my opinion, the two leading modern day producers for high performance in "all 3" phases in SchH sport. 8 years of top schutzund producers with SG-overall & V-protection in BSP/USA/WUSV Again, Yoschi and Aly are outstanding producers for hips, Fado Kathargo was a marginally close drop from this list of "Top 60" who produced exceptionally well in the BSP listings for "working ability" above. Top 60 SV hip producers The same list, but categorized by the number of progeny produced; 150-300/300-600/600+ Top 60 SV hip producers

Dary, Thanks for taking the time to compile this list. I just saw another 4 or 5 dogs that I should have had on my list. SOme did not get the most breedings but I liked how they performed and what they produced. Pike von der Schafbachmuhle Aron/Amigo vom Brachelor See Troll vom Haus Milinda Nick vom Heilegenbosch Kyle

Kyle: We posted same time I was busy looking at your kids pedigrees....that you said you had ....Alfra and Karthago in your one and Mutz in the other , I think...I have all of these in my foundation...and Mutz in one ,,,,this is a good thread.... Meanderer990: You will enjoy the study...it is never ending sometimes I start with my old lines and go thru the new ones and its 6 am in the morning and the sun is coming up and I havent even been to bed......someone mentions a dog , that you have in your lines and you go looking and one leads to hours of looking...my schutzhund magazines are worn thin as I start reading and find a dog I like and I notice the lines and the hours pass before you know it..

For sure, it's very interesting and can keep you in your computer chair till you a$$ is on fire!!! :-b I purchased my first "working line" GSD ( http://www.pedigreedatabase.com/gsd/pedigree/496527.html ) about a year ago or so and since then I've fallen in love with them. Their drives make them sooo much fun to work with whether it's phase a, b or c.

meanderer990 Your dog is a nice outcross of sport/working dogs. I like Yoschy vd Dollenwiese, Nick v Hielegenbosch, Aron/Amigo v Bracheler See, Pike, Ufo v Guy's hof, Asko Von der Lutter, Falk, Aly, Tom Leefdalhof, Kimbo Karthago, Canto Endrikat, and I like linebreedings on Fado Karthago. bitches- Mona Dollenwiese, Afra, many Karthago, Tiekerhook, and other fine bred bitches out of exceptional dogs.

When discussing working lines you must also bring Cordon au Sat, Tom z PS, and Grim z PS into the conversation. These dogs have produced many, many, true working police dogs, in addition to many many sport dogs. Its hard to find a pedigree of Czech dog without one of those three and look how many Czech working police dogs there are in this country alone. So, they must be good producing working lines in my book
