Does anyone else have a dog whose gas you wake up to gagging in the middle of the night? We have 'gardens' of some kind of grassy stuff that the dogs poop in....we dont step there, and they get their poopy privacy...no pickup required :D ~Cate

Be the poop. Embrace the poop. The poop will embrace you.

Years ago we had a dog eat a bag of hersheys kisses. Had shiny bits of foil all over the yard. Poop was easy to find but not much worth picking up. Dog did fine, BTW, but we got real careful with the chocolate after that. Don't you hate it when you wake up to find a kong in your toilet?

I just love when the leaves are covering the poop, you can't see where it is and when the lawn vacuum is picking up leaves the tires are twice their normal diameter. Why you ask? Poop on the tires! And if it's not coated evenly you get a bump every revolution! Really, scooping poop in the summer doesn't bother me, I work a grid pattern through the yard at least once and usually twice a day. Drake's is at least easy to spot, the terriers' is more like a treasure hunt. What bothers me the most though is the water dish having to be in the kitchen in the winter. I have slimy water all over the floor and it's just a losing battle. I'm thinking of inventing a water dish that they have to put their head through and it will wipe off the excess before their head comes back out! I HATE wet socks!

Well try picking up poop by flashlight! I leave in the dark and get home in the dark, so the only daylight to pick up the poop is on the weekend. So, I do my best with the flashlight, luckily I do know their favorite spots so that's helpful.

My problem is I took down 2 kennels and opened the other unless it is raining. I have switched the dogs around, let them run togther on most days. Unless I see them digging or causing some sort of problem they have free rain and are not used to that. They came up with a new rule that they can poop anywhere. It used to be in their kennels or in one part of the yard. Now it is just wherever and I wanna mow one more time but don't wanna end up with poop wheels on the mower like Sparrow describes. Been there, done that! I'm lucky I work at home or I'd be scooping in the dark too. I make a every other day dash out the back door to try and keep up. I guess I could be mean and kennel them together in the long run and problem solved but once the rains hit and the back yard floods, there wont be a choice. I'm trying to be gracious. As far as farting dogs. Woooo the other night my daughters dog was pealing the paint, until I booted her out. I have NEVER (thank you God) witnessed my baby boy farting it up in the house. Maybe once or twice in the crate while driving, that's another story (food change issue). My dogs don't sleep inside though unless it hits freezing and even then I have to be in a nice mood. Last night I let the baby sleep on the floor in my room. I'm so lucky he sleeps quite, no farts, snoring or scratching himslef all night. No way no how, does he get to come up on the bed. I did a couple times, just to piss off the X. ;P Then it's right back down, I don't think he wanted to stay up there even if I would let him anyway. He's not much of a snuggler.

Shut up guys I know. Gonna take me awhile to figure out what the hell his issue is. This kibble is easier to get than trying to track down a steady supply of raw duck, fish or venison. I get some here and there from friends that hunt but not enough to feed him one source for a month. What's a girl to do? It's not like I'm loaded and can fly him in Main Lobster or Kangaroo meat. Once I find out it's not the food causing his allergies, I will go back to raw. So phtphtpht reeeer put your claws back in!!!
