This'll be fun. :] Let's see..

Loki, Inga, and Axel- Rottweilers. Loki died of old age, and we had to sell Inga and Axel, as we were moving. Loki was a working dog.

Henry- Pitbull. Was put to sleep because he "attacked" someone, when really he was playing.

Max- Pitbull. Ran away.

Zoey- Pitbull. Had a few litters. Sold her, as we were moving once more.

+Alot more pitbulls. My dad loved them. Now back to the more worthy dogs.

Miley- Cairn Terrier.

Bella- American Bull dog.

Jack- Chihuahua Pomeranian Mix.

Rebel- Working Line Shepherd.

Rocko- Pitbull German Shepherd mix. Was attacked, her leg never healed and had to get continuous surgeries. Couldn't afford it so we had to give her up. Leg eventually had to be amputated.

Phew. In no particular order. x3

My mom hated dogs when we were kids (you would never know that now) so I only had one dog for a short time.  He was a husky mix named Nanook.

I wanted a dog so bad when I was a kid that I took my piggy bank and wrapped a belt around it and pretended it was a dog!

Well, the very next day, this black and white cocker spaniel shows up at our door! I was hoping we could keep him, as my mom had had a cocker as a kid, and had a real soft spot for the breed.  Unfortunately, the next day, when went knocking door to door, we  found the owner lived on the street behind us.

The dog's name was Lucky, and he was a real escape artist. For several years, he kept coming to visit me on a fairly regular basis, and I'd play with him for a bit, then take him back home. I even made up a collar and a leash for him. His owner would always give me a little money for bringing him home. Once he gave me a 50 cent piece, which I still have.

Shortly before we moved away, the visits stopped. I never found out what happened, but I'm guessing Lucky's luck ran out, and he got hit by a car, or someone picked him up, and didn't return him.

When we were up at the beach one year, renting a cottage, a dalmatian kept dropping by to play. We called him 'Dal'. When we saw him with his owner one day, we found out his name was also Lucky!

So, those were the two dogs of my childhood.

When I was in my 20's, I tried bringing home a collie mix puppy from a litter my uncle's neighbour had. Mom inisted I take her to the pound.

Later in my 20's, I worked for a vet, and befriended a one-eyed mutt I called Pirate. I brought him home a couple of times to play with him, and take him for walks. I saved him from being euthanized, and found him a good home.

Other than that, we had Jimmy, a white part Persian cat, which we had to get rid of because of my brother's allergies. Blackie, a black half-Burmese cat was acutally my grandmother's but when she died, he became ours, and lived with us for 17 years.

I also had a rabbit, two turtles, an American chameleon (anole) and several mice. Much to my mother's dismay, I also kept insects, and loved to raise monarch butterflies. In my bedroom. Where one day she stepped on one of the caterpillars as she was crossing the floor to close the window....Nope, she was NOT happy with her daughter that day. Oh, and then there was the aquarium in the basement, wich now and then would hatch out a dragonfly or damselfly, which would go zipping around her head as she was doing the laundry. Also not at all popular...

I also raised a young pigeon which was blown out of its nest, and returned it to the university where I'd found it once it was old enough to fly and fend for itself.

Once I was out on my own, of course I adopted a cat. Well, no, actually he adopted me, walking right into the house one night as if he owned it, and whacking my roomie's GSD on the nose! He'd survived most of the winter in the back alleys of Edmonton, and was the toughest critter I've ever owned. He'd take on my neighbour's Irish wolfhound, and send it packing with its tail between its legs! I named him Baron, short for Bloody Red Baron.

After I was married, my GSD Tasha sniffed out a litter of feral kittens that had been born under our porch, and I took them in and bottle raised them, which was a lot of fun. Unfortunately, our cat-hating neighbour got his slimey hands on them one day, and we never saw them again. I found out after the fact he was live-trapping strays and sending them off to be euthanized at the pound. I'm sure he got our two, which our pet sitter had accidentally left out all night. The kittens were named Tabitha, Flynn and Bear. Bear we gave to a neighbour. He was hit by a car, and never quite recovered. Something went wrong with his internal organs one day, and he died quite suddenly.
