I know nothing about Tiekerhook dogs, kennels, lines, or whatever, but I do know dogs. I find it strange that some say a correct GSD puppy should be aloof, standoff-ish, suspicious, or whatever term you may want to use. I want a puppy that is confident and curious. Isn't the "finished product", the adult GSD, supposed to be confident that whatever is presented or sent towards him, that he can handle it? Don't we want a "finished product" that can be in a crowd of people and not be panicky, timid, shy, or aggressive? It would seem to me that a puppy that displays these traits is ahead of the game, not behind.
I'm just asking.

roadrunner, nice vids, thank you. I don't believe insult was intended from AlabamaK9, and interpreted the comments as sensible ones. The only thing I might add, is I'd prioritize handler attentiveness with confidence, before drives. And remind that Nature AND Nurture of the new homelife with ts342003 would have alot of impact on this pup still at so young an age, IMO.

Agreed, the pup must have not acted like it was , when in old environment...I dont know....but I got the impression something was not right.....
I know who sold him the pup and where it came from , and I know the capabilities....changing homes sometime takes a pup by surprise for a week or so....if you dont act like his former owner, he may pull a baby fit....and just clam up,.....and just make tht bond and feed her on floor everynigth her supper, by hand...for a few weeks....she wil then respondllll
Are you wanting this pup for police work ts334_____????

Did not know answering a post were the poster complained about his dog that it was reluclant to meet strangers and advice was given makes me hate anyone...nothing negative in my post you must have read something else...
Do right is correct which is it..if a puppy displayed this off of the turf I would be concerned ...going after a tug in the yard that it is was rasied in may not be the true picture of the puppy....but seeing reactions when it is on unfamilar ground gives a better picture...drives look great but nerves can get in the way if they are not solid..one time is not so critical some puppies go thru a stange ...take it back and socilize it was my comment it may not happen again...what is negative about that ...just good advice...
Same thing with Tierkerhook lines nothing I said was negative the Tierkerhook kennel puts out some nice hard dogs but everydog because it has Tierkerhook blood does not mean it will be just alike ..common sense ..as far as Max himself dont know a lot about the dog have not seen any dogs/puppies from him personally...not too many offspring showing on the data base either..

"a lot of hype on Tierkerhook lines lately that may be self promotion here.."
"but to rely on a cookie cutter stamp because it has Tierkerhook bloodlines is not all inclusive...."
Now Marlene, I know you. You are a trouble making snake that like to make sly remarks. Then try to play the innocent role. Worry about what is in that zoo you have over there and not what I have or do in my back yard. My pups and dogs off of Debby current and previous litter will go anywhere and do the same thing. If Kevin would have listened to me and bonded with the dog first, instead of trying to get her to do so much soon. He wouldn't be on here and Idiots like you wouldn't be on here with your cookie cutter comments.

I was told that boss has some tiekerhook on his dams side...thats whats suppose to fill the blank spots there, but im missing one link i think to connect the dogs together, i have the names in a e-mail, ---something to do with a steffi daughter/sister, i think--jenny maybe?....anyways, boss loves to meet new people but once he does meet them he doesnt pay them much attention anymore, only when they first come in the door, he wants to check them out--then afterwards , i guess if he thinks they are OK, he just come back by me.....he wont listen much to other peoples commands either....if someone comes over and they say come here, so they can pet him, he pretty much ignors them....i have to say,"look boss, their talking to you"...and point at that person, then he will go to them.....
last night was the first time ive seen him go to someone else without being called or told to....my friend was here for a couple of hours, and he never paid her much attention....the she got a phone call from her EX...that upset her very much...as soon as she got off the phone and started talking to me, her voice tone had changed and i guess boss knew she was upset,...suddenly he was right at her feet where she was sitting, offering his head and nudging her some...offering his affection..lol...it kinda shocked me how he knew she needed some comfort....
4-pack---some of what you described reminds me of boss....he is not always up my butt...but if I / or the kids...go out of "his" area, then he follows.....he does come lay his head on my lap sometimes tho, when he wants to be petted, he's just not pushy about it like my other dogs are.... 4-pack wrote>>>>Although he will crawl over you and just stand there. <<<<< boss does this alot to, sometimes i lay on the floor to watch tv, and he will walk over me, with his feet on both sides of me, and just stand there, usually if he lays by me, he lays on top or across my chest..(which iv been pushing him off cause he's getting so heavy!)...does the mean he is trying to be dominant over me, or trying to show everyone that i am his possesion? do i need to stop him from doing that?....usually if there is alot of people around, say we are bbq-ing or something, he has tried to climb in the chair with me and actually try to sit so far on top of me that he was on my head, with his arms around my shoulders and his chest in my face, not because he was afraid though, just because thats where he decided he wanted to sit...was he trying to tell everyone there that i was 'his'? or was he just doing that because he just wanted to be by me?

Part of the problem is that t342oo3 was expecting a social butterfly as a puppy. As of late he has seen the potential that his Bella has. She is showing real strong drives again like in the videos posted, he has seen the strong focus and gripps she has on things. She shows the defence that Koos breeds for in the Tiekerhook lines. people need to understand that when you get a puppy with strong breeding does not meen everything else is a given. it has to be trained, nurtured and developed just like all the other puppies people buy. This female is going to be the real deal in about 2-3 yrs. T342oo3 be patient and let her mature into her genetics and make sure you start working her in positive way....

Lets stop the scrapping here, I posted to find out if other progeny hold the same social traits as my female.
luvmidog- please re-read my beginning post I was not posting anything negitive just a question about social behaviors...... ( reluctant my have been a bad word choice, but she just acts like there is no one around and if someone show intrest in her she could care less).
Xeus is right I was expecting a pup that was going to be a bit more social even know so she not I am still o.k with that.
In the last week Bella has shown her strong drives and bites that she was expected to have.

My dog was a son of Steffi. Believe me, he was the real thing.

Vikram: love is blind -- how could you possibly know you have THE TOP MALE out of a line when he is only five months old? I would assume the top make out of Branko is at least titled, no?
