What's up with a half price pup, I would have given a pup replacement,or a total 100% refund.
Something like that might scare them away from getting another pup from you, so they should
be given both options. And of course, you can't blame the breeder, this is NOT a perfect world.

GSDfan-what pisses me off is the story didn't end with the sentence, "At least they got their money back and were able to buy another pup." or "The breeder replaced this poor pup and or has offered one in the future". This isn't some sleazy backyard moron without a clue about decency in these situations. This is a breed warden. Surely someone who has gotten or heard of the pups that have HD and knows the heartbreak involved. Heck, someone on this board offered another and wasn't even involved. You would think a breeder/warden would do as much.
Should have made myself clearer on the first post.
